I used Pick Up and Go a few years ago when moving into the place I am now moving out of. I remember them being prompt, careful with my furniture, and quick. So throughout the years I have referred them to friends and family. Fast forward to 2019. I booked a move for today almost three weeks ago. My time slot was from 11am-2pm. 2 guys for 2 hours. Same as before. The day before I received a text from them asking to confirm the move, which I did promptly. The morning of the move I went ahead and got cash out (plus tip) because one of my family members said they were no longer taking cards. Ok cool, I'm prepared. 11:40 rolls around and I hadn't heard anything so I shoot over a text asking for an ETA. Their response was "The movers can arrive anytime between 11-2pm they will call you one hour before arrival". Ok...so I wait. 1:50 rolls around so I ask if there was now an ETA...no response. I call around 2:45, no answer, send another text asking if I should be looking for an alternate. No response. I leave at 3 to grab food committed to go in full panic mode if I hadn't heard anything by the time I made it home. Well it's now 3:57pm. Almost 2 hours past my move window. And zilch. No call, no email, no text. I'm just s.o.l now looking for affordable movers to help me out during peak season on the weekend. Communication does WONDERS. In the world of social media and review s, the cancel culture is going strong...businesses are NOT excluded. I gave these guys a chance despite the bad reviews and my gut telling me not to. Only because my previous experience was good, so I rolled the dice. Now I'm in the hole. Yall take the risk if you're feeling lucky. But it's not worth the frustration and anxiety dealing with a company that doesn't communicate or follow through. Moving is already stressful enough. Dont let these guys add on to it. ...read more

I was scheduled and confirmed for a move on September 28, 2018 between 11am and 1pm. Not only were they a no-show, but I received no phone call of notification of ANYTHING. I called at approximately 1:15pm to see what was going on, and I was told they were running a little late but should be receiving a call soon. The call never came and no-one answered my next several calls. I was left in a bind to figure out how to get my things moved on last minute's notice. I've used Pick Up & Go Movers twice for a residential move and have been satisfied with the speed, price, and courteousness of my movers (who were Derek and Avery both times), but recently I found myself in a bind trying to move a large piece of antique furniture that a Roadie driver wasn't sufficiently equipped to handle without causing damage (no blankets, padding, tape—nothing). We needed to remove the furniture from the building that day, so at 2pm we contacted Pick Up & Go, and the movers were there by 6. (And what do you know, I was so happy to see it was Derek and Avery again!) Everyone was very pleased to see how thoroughly they they wrapped and handled the furniture. I had the privilege of renting a gorgeous apartment from Shamrock Gardens with a view to an open field and plenty of daylight. The apartment was very clean, everything worked, and due to the security, friendliness of neighbors, and its location I and my family felt safe. I found that the rent was reasonable and landscaping to be awesome and well maintained. The management team here is the best one in Southwest Atlanta, they do an amazing job and were available to answer any questions that I had. I originally was not expecting to pick up and go movers but had to because the guys i originally booked 3 months in advanced gave me the run around on the day of my move. So I went internet searching and found these guys. To my surprise I asked them did they have time on Wednesday or Saturday to do my move. They told me they did and what they offered And before we hung up he said we got Sunday open and I was like Thank you JESUS cause i wanted to get the show on the road. Ronnie called me earlier that morning to confirm their arrival. And he told me from the start that They were not playing any games when it came down to moving my stuff. I feel extremely disrespected by you all. I set an appointment for a move for Sunday, 09/18/2016 between 4pm-7pm (see above for confirmation). I called and spoke with Anthony Saturday and he gave me this slot and told me to fill out the form on your website to book it, which I clearly did. Sunday evening around 6:20pm I began to call the office number and the extended hours number to make sure the move was still set because I hadn't heard from the movers. I left multiple messages, texts, emails, the extended number's voicemail was full, and I never received any notification that the move was delayed or needed to be moved; I tried contacting someone multiple times until about 7:30pm. This was extremely unprofessional, inconsiderate, and disheartening that you would treat customers with so little respect of their time. One of the movers called me around 7:15am this morning 09/19/2016 about a move, at which time I informed him my move was scheduled the day before. He seemed unaware of this information, so I'm not sure if the job wasn't booked properly or if the error was on the movers. Regardless, the fact that I have yet to receive a call explaining the situation or even an apology is disappointing. I get the feeling, from the lack of communication, that this kind of poor service does not matter to your company at all. I will be making a formal complaint, even if nothing changes, because the least someone could have done was called to let me know the move would not be happening. This is my time that was wasted and played with, and I do not appreciate it one bit. Not very happy at all with moving experience. TV stand was broke, bed and night stand had scratches on it, mattress looked like it was dropped in the dirt after being moved. Movers were nice at first but tried to overcharge me at the end of the move and then continued to complain about the tip after overcharging me. When I put a claim in to report the damage I didn't hear back for almost a week and when I finally did it was the two movers I dealt with that called and continued to be very rude about what happened and asked for pictures to be sent. After sending detailed pictures I never heard back from them. I've tried calling three times since about the issue but everyone I talked to either doesn't know what to do and says to call back tomorrow or says to submit another claim.
