I recently rented an apartment which this company managed. My roomate and I had a terrible experience. The owner Myrna was incredibly rude and unprofessional. From the time we began living up until the time we got our security deposit back. First when we first moved into the apartment she had told us she would have a cleaning service come and clean the apartment and when we received the apartment it was extremely dirty. The paint job done before we moved in was horrible, and there were broken tiles on the floor. The filters in the bathroom fans were all old and very dirty, they were so dirty they actually continuously blew out dirt into the bathroom. Additionally a lot of the electrical outlets throughout the apartment did not even work. I contacted Myrna and she sent another cleaning lady and multiple handymen who were suppose to fix and clean. No one did the job they were suppose to and even after having the cleaning lady come for the second time things were still left subpar. Some thing that were suppose to be fixed was not, and it took us months to get major things fixed. Our air conditioner was so old that it was leaking and black mold began growing in the air conditioning closet. Her workers dirtied the walls and always left a mess. And even though I had mentioned this to her when we were moving out she still held us responsible for the walls that were dirtied by her own workers. When it came time to move out, she gave me an hour window in the middle of the day on a work day to do the final walk through and told us if we cannot meet her then, then she would charge us for more days of rent. She then told my roomate during the final walk through that everything looked good and proceeded to take $500 dollars out of our security deposit without allowing us to rectify and fix things ourselves. She then sent our security deposit to an address that we had not agreed to, and when I called her to have this fixed she said "it is not my problem". And to top things off she lied saying that she told my roomate things were not in good condition that he had said he was not responsible for it, when he never said that at all considering he was going to get part of the money deducted from the security deposit. We asked her for the owners number or contact information and she refused to let us speak to him directly. The entire year we lived there she never came to check on the repairs nor the status of the apartment except to give it to us and to do the final walk through. New Listing in Deer Run Equestrian Community
10 Acres total (2-5 acre lots) was just recently listed in this community for 598,000. It is currently being advertised as "Come build your dream Farm" . I hope that whomever should buy it can do that. As a resident in that community as well I would love to see it. Palm Beach Point, White Fences, Foxtrails, Equestrian Estates and Southfields are immaculate and lovely communities. It would be great to model after them New Elections are being held in March, 2012. We have had quite a bit of headache with the current board vs. homeowners vs horse people. I hope that we can all come to an agreement on our community and if Deer Run will become a Luxury equestrian community or a Deed Restricted community. ...read more
