By far one of the worst property management companies EVER! I rented for 4 years the same property, which was not cleaned upon my move in- I had to do ALL cleaning in an OLD home that was previously a known drug house according to business and neighbors I befriended, with many problems from the lawn care to the pluming to the mold and mildew. I will not get started on the creepy crawlies that lived in the walls of this house, nor the family of rodents that lived under the property. Fortunately, I documented and submitted to the property manager my move in check list, which documented all the dirt, grim and broken or missing items with in the property. I needed a place to rent and felt that I could clean the house just fine when I move in, as this is done anyway where ever I rent from. When it was finally time for our move out, as we did not feel they took proper care of this property and our lease was up, they tried to keep all of my security deposit on top of charging me in excess of $1000.00. As I had my move in check list, which they must not have checked upon claiming my security deposit and trying to charge me excess of, I submitted my dispute and did not hear back until I followed up with them directly. At which time I was told that they contacted the homeowner and did not hear anything back from them so they were only going to accept the security deposit. They had no rights to the 'damage' they claimed, they worked with me the whole time I was renting at 4 years only to use it against me when I moved out. If not for my due diligence in documenting everything in this home upon move in, I would have been stuck and they would have had to send me to collections. To top it all off, the house is currently listed for sale and 'not livable', but only made things difficult for me when I insisted they remedy the issues in this house over and again. Did I mention that the things they have charged to my security deposit was NEVER fixed?? Yea, I went to the property to see what was 'for sale' and NOTHING they charged me for was replaced??!! For example, window blinds! I will never entertain this company, nor the people who work for them again in my future... and I have a big mouth with heavy influence behind me and word of mouth goes a long way in this city! So long to Mt Vernon! Never again! Oh yea, and they liked to blame the home owners for not taking care of or authorizing the necessary fixes this house needed in order for it to remain "LIVABLE' but took my money every month and let me live in this house for 4 years! I took a couple of trees off a roof and dried it in for 475.00. That was six months ago and still haven't been paid. They are great when they need you but when it comes time to write the check...good luck. ...read more

The pictures of the apartments online must have been taken when the place was new. My apt was old, rundown and had rust in the ac vents. The manager, Brandy Lynn was super nice when she showed me the place and asked me to write a nice review. After moving in, it all changed. I must have had a water leak or maybe I was paying for the whole building. She wouldn't do anything about it. The A/C vent was full of rust and dirt and they wouldn't clean that before I moved in.
