I recently had to place an order for an employee within my company, whose wife had a baby. I called My Fast Basket Company to confirm how long shipping would take if I order the gift basket on a Friday night. Lori in customer service told me that if I picked the cheapest cost for shipping (that being ground shipping) that the gift would arrive by Tuesday the following week. I went ahead and placed the order. Unfortunately, due to the time I placed the order on Friday night (6:30ish PM) and the fact that our company was in an annual meeting all day on Monday (9:00 AM - 3:30 PM), Lori was unable to get in touch with me about a problem. I received two messages and once out of the meeting I immediately contacted her about the problem, which is described below. The problem being that their company would not be able to get the gift basket to the delivery address by Tuesday, as I was told verbally by Lori herself, if ground shipping was to be used. Two of the worst things about the customer service I experienced with this company and Lori herself was: 1. She said there was no way she would have said the gift could have arrived on Tuesday, if I chose ground shipping. 2. There was no way any other company could have gotten that same gift basket delivered to the customer, at no extra cost to my company, by Tuesday. She was very argumentative about this and offered no kind of compensation, such as half shipping or even an apology. My bosses brother died and the memorial service was on Sunday. When I left work Friday night I started searching for a company to send a basket. Best I could find was Monday. Most were Wednesday. Not really worth anything to me. I found My Fast Basket company and they stated same day if order received by noon. Just what I needed. I placed the order around 7:45 pm. (:00 pm I got an email that I was sending it to myself. I didn't see it until 9:15 Saturday Morning. I responded right away. I also got a confirmation on the address update from Lori in customer service. She was fantastic. 7:10 pm Saturday evening I got a text from my boss thanking me for the basket. I recently ordered a gift basket for a family member living in Coral Springs. However, when I placed my order, I accidentally entered my own address for delivery. I would have been completely unaware had they not made a courtesy call to verify that I was sending the gift to myself after they noticed a gift message to my niece. I thought that was really great considering I have made the same mistake with other online companies who just ship blindly. I just thought that was very considerate. As for the gift itself, I ordered a hand delivered fruit and gourmet gift to congratulate my niece on her recent engagement, and she was absolutely delighted. I knew that my order was custom and that the contents vary based on what's available in different areas, but My Fast Basket Co went above and beyond. Fresh fruits, gourmet cookies, sausages and fresh cheeses with water crackers. They even included a fresh gourmet pound cake from a local bakery that my niece wouldn't stop raving about.
