Will, by now you will have gone to another attorney and learned that what I told you was the absolute truth: Women do not automatically "get the children" in Florida anymore and the law favors fifty-fifty timesharing, just as I told you that you didn't want to believe. You got a copy of the law along with all the expedited paperwork that we did for you before you decided you didn't want a divorce after all and refunded the remainder of your retainer. Now that you know I was telling you the truth, I hope you will do the right thing and take down your negative review. I did try to sit down with you or bring in another attorney to explain what I had told you, but you were hysterical and we nearly had to call 911. Now that you know I was straight with you, please do the right thing. ...read more

Ms. Rush does not return phone calls or emails. Hired her for my sons Social Security appeal. She never answered SS letters or calls, never answered my calls or email. My son almost lost his benifits due to her not responding to SS. Thank god they sent him a letter. Other wise they would of closed his case due to lack of response. He would of lost all his benifits if I didn't call them when he recieved their letter. If I had left it up to Ms. Rush he would have lost everything, his benifits, his medical insurance, his apartment. I would not recommend her to anyone. ...read more

Rhodes Law, P.A. - Important Legal Issues for Business Professionals

Successful business owners know retaining a good business lawyer early on is critical to the success of the business.    Don't wait until your business is in trouble or being sued to retain a good business lawyer. As the old adage goes "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." The hiring of a good business lawyer to advise you from the time you decide to start-up or purchase a business through the life of your business will ultimately save you many headaches (and money too).    A good business lawyer can help you determine which form the entity should take and the advantages and disadvantages of each. For example, whether to form a corporation or a limited liability company (LLC), and if the business will be a corporation whether to be taxed as a "C" or "S" corporation? A good business lawyer can educated you on the choices so you can make the best choice for your business.   A good business lawyer can provide you with the essential information to get your business started on the right foot and the essential information to keep your business legally healthy, and can provide you with advice on everything from acquiring or starting your business to the formal requirements for the business entity chosen, zoning, copyrights, trademarks, and much more.   Equally important (or even more important), a good business lawyer can assist you with reducing your business's liability and risk to lawsuits. Lawsuits are extremely expensive, and can financially devastate a business. The fee a lawyer will charge to keep your business out of trouble is only a small fraction of the fee a lawyer will charge to get your business out of trouble.   What services should a business lawyer provide?   »A business lawyer should be able to help you with preparingthe standard form contracts you will need for your customers, clients and suppliers, and should be able to review and advise you on contracts that other people or businesses will want you to sign.   »A business lawyer should be able to advise you on whether the new business should be a corporation or an LLC, and be able to prepare the necessary paperwork.   »A business lawyer should be able to review, draft, and negotiate your business's commercial lease.   »Your accountant or CPA willprepare and file your business tax returns, but your business lawyer should have the know-how to register your business for federal and state tax identification numbers, and be able to understand and advise you on the tax consequences of the more basic business transactions in which your business will engage.   »Somebusiness lawyer help with registering products and services for federal trademark and copyright protection, generally, however, these tasks are performed by specialists who do nothing but "intellectual property" legal work. If your business lawyer does not provide this service, then he or she should have a close working relationship with one or more intellectual property specialist.   At Rhodes Law, P.A., our business is preventing and solving legal problems.   Rhodes Law, P.A. provides professional corporate and business legal services at an affordable rate. PROTECT YOUR HOME

MAKE YOUR HOME SAFE AND SECURE              Your home is your castle! Home should be the one place on earth you feel safe and secure. But is it?            Here are a few suggestions to help make your home secure. One of the first things you will want to do when moving into a new house is to replace the exterior locks. You and your family should be the only ones who can get into the house.            Look for crumbling walkways and loose boards or deteriorating steps in the porch or deck. These must be fixed to avoid accidents and injuries.            Check all windows to make sure they lock properly. Make sure all entryways as well as the edges of your property are properly lit. Good lighting is not only safer, it is more secure because it can discourage would be burglars.            Check all smoke and carbon monoxide detectors to make sure they are in good working order. If they are battery operated, replace the batteries with fresh batteries.            Consider a home security system. Home security is a good deterrent to crime. In fact, your homeowner’s insurance company may offer you a discount on your premiums because you have a security system.            And remember; lock your doors at night and when you are not at home. Most burglars just walk into houses because doors are left unlocked.            These are just a few helpful hints from YOUR Attorney, Mark Anthony Gager, to help keep you safe and secure. ...read more

What type of car insurance coverage should I have?

ADVICE FROM MARK ANTHONY GAGER, ATTORNEY AT LAW What type of automobile insurance coverage should you have? I recommend: Personal Injury Protection (“PIP”) also known as No Fault Coverage, pays for up to $10,000 of your medical bills. Property damage is required by law. Bodily injury, in the event you cause an accident. Uninsured Motorist (“UM”) is very important. If someone with no insurance hits you, then you can bring a claim against your own insurance company for damages you have received. Do not let insurance agents talk you out of UM even though insurance agents may tell you it is not necessary, Medical Payments (“Med Pay”), which is an extra 2-5000 in medical coverage, because PIP can also be used for, lost wages, so you want to get your lost wages, but also get proper medical attention as well. Get low deductibles. A $2000 deductibles is bad because if you get in an accident and need medical care, you are responsible for the first $2000, and unless you are prepared for this, it is very difficult. ...read more
