I was injured in disabled in this store on their inversion table they had out on display; the store's advertised motto at the time was to "try it before you buy it". My cousin asked for my help in finding a good one since I had already owned my own for over 5yrs (from Gaiam Living Arts) and Loved it and lived on it practically daily. The store's slammed me violently backwards w/great force and very hard and very fast; my neck popped and I couldn't eat solid food for 7 mos; then I had to have my neck fused and have been facing 3-4 more levels fused (and more and more fusions 'til nothing left to fuse in my spine) VS. "Artificial Disc Replacement", which I cannot afford. The owner has been fighting me getting the medical help/surgeries I've needed throughout this, now 8yrs+ (1/29/06). This injury has disabled and me and I've fight each and every single day to be able to hold up my head, and to function as much as I can (which is not even a small fraction in comparison to before this injury). If I don't ice my neck day and night, and hold up my head too long, I get very sick with stabbing pain and inflammation and I pass out. I can't believe one that claims to "support our communities" has yet to offer medical help for me to get better, and has actually been fighting me in getting it so I can be physically able again. My Grandmother even trained this owner many, many years ago at Belk's in merchandising and in certain circles, he attributes all he's learned to her, my Grandmother. I even worked for him at Belk's when I was in high school. I remember my Grandmother telling me several times growing up how he was such a nice young man; I respected him for that for many years, that is, until I had this disabling, complete life changing injury and have had to live with his choices of not helping me get better. Better and able again because of their carelessness in ensuring the safety of their machine out on display for others/customers/"me" to "try it before you buy it". This always comes to mind: "It's easier for a camel to go through an eye of a needle than for a "rich**" man to enter the Kingdom of God". **and by "rich**"-I interpret that as rich in greed and evil at all costs. ...read more
