Vince cleaned up our computer of all viruses, one of which had shut down our entire system. He provided virus removal and restoration of our computer and gave us a free one year subscription to the best antivirus software out there. I found Vince of Laptopsforless on Angies list. We are new to the area and need to find all new providers. I am very cautious when looking for a new computer repair person because of all our personal information being stored on our computers. I called Vince and he sounded very professional. His office is about 35-40 minutes away from us but he was very helpful in meeting us closer to our home to help alleviate driving time for us. Our computer was serviced in his shop. I am not sure if he does house calls, I didn't ask. Vince charged us a very fair price for all the work he put into fixing our computer. He was very computer knowledgeable, easy to talk too, accommodating to the customer, and was very honest with me. The computer had a pretty bad virus and he told me he wasn't sure that he could save my files. But he endured and was finally able to do it. The turn around time was 1 day! Being an older *cough* person lol. I didn't want to lug my desktop to a computer shop to have it only stay there for a few days till it got fixed, so I called Vince. He was recommended to be by a close friend at church. he came right over to my home, and proceeded to backup my pictures and documents, then he formatted the computer and loaded windows. While it was loading, he noticed the vents were kind of dusty, so he opened the case and blew out the inside. after all was said and done, his work was so good and professional, I had him come back in 3 days to do my wife's. I must say, he was well knowledgeable in, and was nice to explain what i should do to keep out virus, and even loaded a free 1 year virus program into my system. in this age of so many scams, and believe me, i have come across them in the computer repair sector a few time in Lake City. it was a refreshing pleasure to deal with a gentlemen like Vince. I will recommend him highly to anyone, and will never use another computer person again, but him. ...read more

The professional surveying and mapping services offered by D & G, LLC include boundary surveys, topographic surveys, elevation surveys, construction surveys, subdivision platting and other services that require a licensed surveyor. Daniel is a 1996 of graduate in Land Surveying of the . He received his Florida Professional Surveyor and Mapper license in January 2004. The last twelve (12) years of his fifteen (15) year career has been in in both the private and public sector of land surveying. During his career, he has gained vast knowledge and experience in land development, FEMA’s LOMA processes, local government platting requirements, FDOT design surveying, construction surveying and real estate property transaction surveys. Gore started his surveying career with W.C Hale and Associates and has worked in for the last sixteen (16) years in the private sector of land surveying. His knowledge of land surveying has brought great recognition in the construction surveying industry as well as the other traditional surveying industries. What is a Professional Surveyor and Mapper? Per Statutes 472.005(3):"Surveyor and mapper" includes the term "professional surveyor and mapper" and means a person who is registered to engage in the practice of surveying and mapping under ss.472.001-472.037. For the purposes of this statute, a surveyor and mapper means a person who determines and displays the facts of size, shape, topography, tidal datum planes, legal or geodetic location or relation, and orientation of improved or unimproved real property through direct measurement or from certifiable measurement through accepted photogrammetric procedures. What is a Land Survey? A land survey is performed for the purpose of locating, describing, monumenting and mapping the boundaries and corners of a parcel of land. It may also include mapping of the topography of the parcel, and the location of buildings or other improvements upon the parcel. What is a boundary? A boundary is any natural or artificial separation marking the border of two adjacent properties. A natural boundary is one existing in nature, such as a river; while an artificial boundary is one created by written conveyance such as the Public Land Survey System, Subdivisions or Deeds. How are boundaries created? Most boundaries are created by written documents (such as warranty or quit claim deeds) that contain specific descriptions. Property rights may also be established by unwritten means such as long time physical occupation of land. A Professional Surveyor and Mapper will research these factors and how they affect the boundaries of your property. When should I have my land surveyed? You should have your land surveyed: Before you purchase it. This will disclose the relationship between the lines of possession and the deeded property lines. A lending institution may require either a Boundary Survey of your property when you borrow money on it. Whenever you believe there may be a conflict of use on your property. Prior to dividing any parcel of land for sale. The county or city that your property is located in may require a Boundary Survey prior to the construction of any structure or improvement on the property. When you intend to sell any tract of land. When your lawyer, architect, real estate agent or municipal planning or engineering office advises or re quires it. How do I authorize a boundary survey? Explain why you want the survey. The surveyor can then advise you as to what standards and type of survey is required. You should furnish the Professional Surveyor and Mapper with a description of the property along with all other information or documents that you may have regarding the parcel. These would include abstracts of title, title reports, previous survey reports and maps, and the location of any corner monuments. The Professional Surveyor and Mapper may request a retainer and written authorization to proceed prior to conducting the survey. How much will a survey cost? The Professional Surveyor and Mapper’s fees will be based on the anticipated difficulty and time required to complete the project. Routine survey projects may be estimated as to cost, but the client should be aware that in many situations, the Professional Surveyor and Mapper cannot predict the amount of work that will be required to recover necessary monuments, restore lost or obliterated corners, research city and county records, collect field data, complete mathematical calculations, and prepare descriptions and maps of the property. All of this must be combined and analyzed to establish the location of property corners and create the final map. One of the most uncertain and costly parts of the survey is the recovery of various types of monuments. It is important for land owners, contractors and the general public to be aware that the careless treatment and destruction of survey monuments adds time and cost to subsequent surveys. Competitive bidding for the lowest price does not necessarily protect the interests of the client, the public or the Professional Surveyor and Mapper. The competency, reputation, education and experience of several surveyors should be considered before one is selected to perform the survey. Duties of the Professional Surveyor and Mapper A Professional Surveyor and Mapper renders a highly technical service to the Client. As a licensed professional, the services provided by the surveyor must comply with several applicable laws, regulations, standards and codes which have been established by state, county, and local governments and professional societies. The Professional Surveyor and Mapper must conform to these guidelines and will abide by these high standards of conduct and practice. What can a Surveyor and Mapper do for me? The Professional Surveyor and Mapper can: Review your deed along with other evidence and render a professional opinion as to the locations and conflicts of the boundaries of your land. Set monuments at your property corners and mark them so they can be easily found and identified. Keep an accurate record of all services performed and measurements obtained. Identify and advise you of any apparent defect in your land description or evidence of conflict of ownership and/or use. Prepare a plat or map of your property indicating boundary measurements, the monuments found and placed, and the calculated area. Provide the client with copies of these maps bearing the Professional Surveyor and Mapper’s signature and seal In addition, a Professional Surveyor and Mapper is qualified to: Create a property description for all new parcels or any existing parcels that may have a defect. Appear in court as an expert witness concerning real property ownership, location or use. Assist you in the planning and layout of the Lots, Blocks, streets, easements, etc. in a new subdivision. Protect your investment In order to protect your investment, it is best to retain a Professional Surveyor and Mapper prior to the planning of your development and investment of funds. The Professional Surveyor and Mapper can locate the boundaries of a property upon which improvements are planned and constructed, and can layout proposed improvements on your property. These professional services assure that your improvements are positioned correctly, possibly preventing costly complications.
