Needed facelift on my house was My neighboor refered me to Parris Improvements after they remodeled their kitchen. Just as the case with many other services that one may inquire about, usually the cheapest service is not the best choice for the job. This doesn't mean that only good services are on the high end, but it does in fact usually ring true on the other side of the scale. Generally many can be lured in when they think of all the money they will save when a roof cleaning company advertises $99 roof cleanings or $99 house washes, but the fact is, it is impossible to offer a premium service from a legally legit company at those prices. I will break down the reasons why. An average 2000 sq ft home generally has a roof that will require roughly $50 in cleaning chemicals to effectively remove all the stains. Tack on labor for the job, insurance, equipment maintenance, equipment fuel, truck fuel, and traveling time to and from the job site, taxes, marketing, etc. It begin to become very clear. There is absolutely no way a legit company can offer a professional roof cleaning service at those prices. They will either go out of business very fast or have to run a shady operation relying on cutting corners to make ends meet. This could mean operating without carrying the proper insurance or cutting corners on methods and materials used to achieve the best results on the job . Unfortunately I see both sides of this on a regular basis. I see new companies come in to the industry all the time. They buy some real fancy equipment slap some magnets on there truck than set out to start cleaning houses. After a short time they realize that keeping busy is more difficult than they anticipated, so they begin cutting their prices to try and get more work. They aren't really making any money charging lowballer rates and before they know it they are selling their equipment on Craigslist. The other side of this is even worse. I get phone calls all the time from upset homeowners who hired a weekend warrior without insurance, proper equipment, or experience to wash their roof or house and of course they are more often than not left with more problems than they started with. Blown window seals, damaged landscaping, siding, etc. The carnage can be quite ugly. It is always imperative that a person do their due diligence when choosing the cleaning professional best suited for the job.
