First this company has not been doing business for 5 years so how is it the fault of the company to make it impossible for you to buy anything. Second he is talking about a woman who had a vision and went for it when no man or developer would take the chance. I give her a thumbs up for this. She changed the whole neighborhood, It attracted many gays so it was known as the one gay area in the city which was a good thing because it kept the market values up when the market crashed. I knew her very well and saw the challenges she had to endure being a woman and all the vultures out there. She designed all these units and made it happen along with the private investors who believed in her and made a ton of money for doing so. How dare you another realtor put down someone who made such a change in one of the worst areas of the city. This is a HORRID place to live. First the model they show you is a complete and utter lie. When you get the keys to the actual apartment there is no decent quality carpet, all appliances are old and low quality, and the counters are made of a cheaper material. The more time you spend in the apartment the more you find wrong with it. Our building also had an issue where a new roof was installed but not sealed properly and this let water leak into our apartment. It took the Colonnade a WEEK to fix it. Our closet, bathrooms, and daughters bedroom became filled with mold, They did not pay for any of the damages and still have not updated us if the roof has been fixed yet and this was over 2 months ago. Oh and them fixing the mold was spraying some bleach on it and repainting. The office staff is snooty and uncooperative. I would read the following sentence twice: They love to find loopholes to make you pay more for your rent and to be stuck on the property longer. Regardless of what your lease says give them at LEAST 60 days notice or they will make you pay for the following months rent. This complex is just cruddy apartments painted nice. Lots of drugs are done around here and there are always beer and liquor bottles lying around on the ground. I was shown a ok apartment on move in day, my apartment was not ready, i was given another apartment after complaining that was in the most un livable condition i have seen. Roach and rat droppings burn whole in carpet not to mention the black mold taking over the walls, A/C dripped allover the floor. After taking my $1000 deposit i had no where else to stay so had to pay to clean the apartment. 1 year went by 2 property mangers later and the building was still horrible i decided to leave due to landmark trying to raise my rent by $225, roach infestation, rats, and black mold. i cleaned the apartment and returned it in better condition than i received it and was charged $1,345.00 so i owe $345 after these ppl gave me a roach invested apartment that looked like a crack house. The Rep Mani is a con artist and will tell you anything to keep you from taking your issues further. do not trust him or Raul the maintenance guy. DO NOT MOVE HERE NO MATTER WHAT OR HOW CHEAP ITS NOT WORTH IT OR YOUR HEALTH,.
