The company upcharged me $1815 for a four room two block move. There was no signed contract and no itemized bill provided at any time. A low verbal estimate was given and no verbal changes were voiced related to the increased charges. Two phone calls were made to the company asking for an explanation. No calls were returned. We moved from California to Maryland with World Wide Van Lines and we could not have picked a better moving company. The sales staff was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions the customer service staff was also very attentive to my needs since this was a cross country move I was a little nervous. The movers were very friendly and attentive to all our needs. All our things were delivered in their original state. The movers arrived to our new place in Maryland earlier than we did and waited for more than two hours for us to get to Maryland. When we got there we had to store some of our things in a storage room close to our place and the movers even helped us arrange and rearrange items in the storage room so we can fit everything that needed to be stored. After we finished at the storage we went to unload the rest of the truck in our house, they handled all of my items with care and did their job quietly and quickly with no damages and nothing was missing given all the horror stories we have heard needless to say we were pleasantly surprised. All this, they did with a very positive attitude and a friendly manner. All in all, World Wide Van Lines made this highly stressful time easier for us. We highly recommend this company. We have moved 9 times in 28 years and this was by far the best experience we ever had. When Steve called us and went through an items list over the phone and what had to be packed, crated, etc. I knew we were in good hands. He was professional and did a great job in identifying items that needed special attention, The estimate was fair and we chose world wide van lines from a pool of three other companies. The crew arrived on time and the head man, Bill, was outstanding. We had two shipments one going to Boston shortly and the other going into storage for several weeks. The crew first tagged and packed what was going to Boston and removed those items first. Then then started on what had to go into storage and did a wonderful job organizing everything. Bill was the crew chief and he is the best I ever encountered. Nothing was too much for him or his crew and the two days of packing and moving came and went with no glitches.
