The owner Janet Hurst is one of the rudest people I have ever come into contact with. I am amazed she still has this company and that it is not out of buisness due to her attitude. I had informed her that there were back taxes owed and asked what would be done about them. She informed me that it would ALL be taken out of the final closing and that would be it. So now I'm under the impression that I owe no taxes because of her statement. When the final paperwork came and I was to sign an affidavit claiming no taxes were owed I of course signed it because of my TRUST in Joyce. BIG MISTAKE. And when I tried to discuss the matter on the phone, I live 300 miles away, she pretty much had the attitude that it was my problem, probably because she got her money, and eventually HUNG UP ON ME. Don't put your trust in Realty West to buy from OR sell your property. Joyce paints a pretty picture and yes, will "bend over backwards" to make you feel taken care of, but here's the deal 1) When I bought my home through her, she gigged me with a loan that was above the normal interest rate, didn't totally inform me of what I needed to do. (It was my first home purchase.) 2) I went to her first, out of trust, to sell my home in 2005. I used it for rental property while she was trying to sell it. She blamed my renters for not being able to sell it. 3) I changed renters, she took over the rental responsibility. The property turned into a trash dump and luckily, if the renter wouldn't have signed a contract, that he originally was supposed to cover ALL closing costs, (COST ME $4200), if he would have backed out, I would have NEVER sold the property due to its condition and be stuck with all the disrepair. 3) The house was finally closed on a few weeks ago.
