Interior Design Delaware - Maryann's Interiors

5.0

By EdgarKelly

My house was so drab until I hired Maryann's Interior to come in and spruce things up. It looks so much better now! And I am very happy with the price, which was very reasonable considering what the competition was offering. I highly recommend calling for your interior decorating. ...read more

Good Deal Contractors

1.0

Angel did a sidewalk for me three years ago. Less than a year after he did the sidewalk, a crack appeared in one of the sections. I contacted him, he said he would come by to take a look. He didn't show up. When I called him back, he said that he doesn't like to come all the way down to where I am (even though he accepted the work without hesitation), and this was his busy time of the year, but that he would come down later in the season to take a look. Later in the year I called him up and set up a time where he could come by, and again he didn't show up. I tried calling him, he never answered or returned my calls. The next year I also tried calling him, and again he never returned my calls. Just recently, I tried calling him again, and found that the original cell number was disconnected. A google search found that he had started a business under this name, Good Deal Contracting. When I called him at the new number, he answered this time. He again gave me a song and dance about coming down to where I was, but said that he would come out this weekend. The he hung up on me. ...read more

How We Refinish Your Hardwood Flooring

Hello all - I apologize for not introducing myself, I was just so excited for our Spring Special- it won't last forever! My name is Rebecca and I will be updating this blog. The way I am going to go about this is that whatever I know, you will know! Hmm.. where to begin... Refinishing your hardwood flooring! If your hardwood flooring has become dull and lifeless over the years, call All Hardwood Flooring for our refinishing service! Refinishing your hardwood flooring will bring new life to your old flooring. Here is how we refinish your hardwood flooring: Step 1: Sand the floor a minimum of two times. Although most of this is done by machines, it's not easy- it's a sure thing our professionals know what they're doing! Before sanding, we will need to remove all furniture, carpeting/rugs. We will cover and block off your room in plastic, and then get to work! Some sanding will even have to be done by hand.. again our professionals know what to do! Step 2 (Optional): Apply stain. This will color your hardwood flooring in a custom color of your choice. Of course, you can stay with the natural wood look, in which case we would skip this step. Step 3: Apply a first coat of sealant. This coat of sealant (or emulsion) will seal the wood so that it does not stain, as well as seal in the kind of stain you *do* want (which is of course your custom wood stain from step 2!) Step 4: Next we apply the finish to achieve the sheen of a brand new hardwood floor! This consists of two coats of polyurethane. There are two kinds of finish. One is a water-based finish with a life expectancy of 2-3 years. The other is oil-based, and is expected to last 5-10 years. The reason for this is simple. Your hardwood floor was previously finished with an oil-based finish. Your kid can tell you that oil and water do not mix-- so do the math-- or, ya know.. science! *Note that not all hardwood floors can be refinished! Talk to a professional! After your floor is refinished nothing should touch the floor for a minimum of 24 hours! NO carpets/rugs/mats for a minimum of 30 days! They will stick to the floor! If you are interested in hardwood flooring, already have hardwood flooring, or know someone interested in our service, please feel free to share our blog/company information! We will come to your home and help you choose whatever service is right for you. We install, refinish, and repair hardwood floors. 302-287-4209 ...read more
