Hello, I need someone to help me . My husband a Amtrak Conductor out of Fort Worth Texas died March 24, 2016 from cancer. His last day to work was October 01, 2014, this is the day we found out that he had stage 4 terminal, inoperable cancer. We fought for 20 months to save him but we lost our battle with cancer. Now I am loosing my battle in getting the life insurance that I am entitled to from my husband. I have tried ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING AND EVERY WAY I KNOW TO GET HELP. I have tried unsuccessfully to receive the life insurance my husband had through Amtrak. I can't believe after loosing my husband that there would be such problems and honestly such disrespect for not only me but for my deceased husband. Some how his records got changed from sick to retired. HE WAS NOT I REPEAT NOT RETIRED! Also my name wasn't even listed on official paperwork as his beneficiary. I have the very copy of the original that was sent to Amtrak with all this information. I also have absolute proof my husband was drawing sick benefits and then on to disability. He was only 57 years old when he died. I can't believe this is happening. Not only have I not recieved my life insurance but also there is a major shortage on my Widows benefits. I can find no one to help me get all this straight. I DESPERATELY NEED HELP. MY HOME IS UP FOR FORECLOSURE BECAUSE OF THIS AND IT SHOULDN'T BE. I too am a railroad employee. I am off medical disability because of a chronic illness. I can't loose my home. I NEED SOMEONE TO STEP UP TO THE PLATE THAT WILL HELP ME. My recent experience with the Bangladesh Embassy in USA (Washington, DC) has been painful, frustrating and disappointing. All we needed to get is an attestation of a cancellation of a Power of Attorney attested by the embassy. A simple document to sign since the original Power of Attorney was signed and attested by the same embassy at the same location.The problem arose where the document had my wife's married name on it (Just as the original Power of Attorney document). My wife had her name changed because of our marriage 19 years ago. The Bangladesh embassy lacked the necessary information to guide the appropriate process.I wanted to resolve the matter with the embassy but all attempts to communicate properly and directly with the embassy have failed. The embassy staff (especially the people who actually need to do the work and sign off on documents) were extremely rude and did not have any regards to customer/citizen service. ...read more
