I would recommend the Tannery for everyone. The staff made me and my mom feel so welcome, we had to join. They made us feel like a family when we joined and they still do. It is exceptionally clean and whether you are a size 2 or 22 you are treated the same way. a really fun place to be..... ...read more

I have been to many tanning salons and this by far was the best. The spray tan was beautiful (not orange), the salon was immaculate, the staff was so friendly and the price was incredible. With all the hype out there about tanning and the sun being bad for your skin, we have all overlooked the possible health advantages of the positive effects of sunlight. That would be Vitamin D! "People who get regular sun exposure have significantly lower risks of internal cancers and heart disease." (As quoted by NBC Nightly News anchorman Brian Williams and found in research reports in the Journal of the American Heart Association.) Besides all that -- we FEEL better, and we LOOK amazing! The new lotions out there bring out the best for our skin, and keep us hydrated in this very dry time of the year! The Tannery Suntan Center has some of the most attractive people in East Haven, CT as members. Why? Because they take care of their skin, use lotions, and moderately tan in our facility. Little or no burn -- and our bulbs are new. We take care of our customers - and start newbies out with mini sessions, and graduate them to gorgeous tans within 1 - 2 weeks, depending on their participation.
