Dear Pastor my warmest greetings in Jesus Name. Please, I have no debates or strange doctrines to address here only some questions about an article that I read and am in the process of reviewing and editing. Some months ago while in prayer and fasting I felt the Presents of God telling me that he is a God of Covenants. This seems very logical to me and as he has confirmed some of these things thru the Infilling of the Holy Ghost I must agree he indeed is the God of Covenant. Okay back up some I am an inter-dependent pastor with UPC background and training. I am presently pastoring a small work in the Philippine Islands. I love the fellowship with other UPC Pastors and have absolutely no problem with most of the doctrines of the UPC. I do ask you a kind favor. I have been studying about dispensation vs covenant theology and am at the point that I feel that many have swallowed whole the doctrines presented by the likes of Charles Larken and Schofield on dispensations. I have read in part last night an article that you wrote, or I think you wrote. "End Time Revivel- Is it scriptural or not? I have a couple of questions about all of this and honestly speaking I do believe much of what I have already read from your article. Question 1 Why have so many stuck so strongly on Dispensationalism and why are so many afraid to atribute many scriptures in the OT to the chruch? I think some of the answers are nervousness because of so many false doctrines that come about from trying to over spiritualize many of the more obscure scriptures. You said something that I have been saying for quite a while let the apostles show us how the scriptures fit into place. When they use Joel to express the Outporuing of the Holy Spirit then accept that as scripture that applies to the Church. If another scripture applies to the Nation of Israel then let it apply as such. I think many many more scriptures apply to the church than most will admit. Maybe they would have to admit other things that they have already accepted as being truth as maybe not so true??? I read an article by Dr. Danial Segrave are we spiritual Jews and honestly speaking he did not do a very good job of proving that we are not part of the nation of Israel. So my second question is what may be some of the cautions of the doctrines of the remnant of Israel being the Church composed of Jew and Gentile together. What about Us being grafted into the same tree of vine of Israel through the adoption of sons thru Christ??? Maybe much of Isa is talking about the Chruch in the entire harvest time???
