Do not ever hire Vazzys for a party outside of their restaurant. They made such a mess of my daughters wedding. They did not set the wedding up in the correct place. This place is quirky with mismatched decor. A little homey I guess. You order and pay upfront off an updated menu board. The breads are unique and fantastic! There are several styles but the sunflower seems to be a hit for me. The ginger root soup is very good but remember, these is all natural so having to add spices is not uncommon. Pricing is decent. Ten years ago Vazzy's catered my rehearsal dinner a day before my wedding (10.21.2000)...fabulous! Today Vazzy's catering (out of their Bpt location) was to deliver a lunch to the pastors and staff at my church. First, they were 35 mins. late without a phone call or an apology for the delay. After 3 calls from myself to them without giving me assurance anyone was actually coming, the food arrived cold and everyone had to heat up their plate of food. Frankie's is one of the oldest diners in Bridgeport. They still manage to keep their food consistent. The Diner is always clean and the staff is always friendly. I go to Frankie's for breakfast I get eggs over with homefires and toast and coffee. The Home fries are the best nobody can match them. The coffee is really good to. When I go for lunch I get the cheeseburger deluxe with french fries and cole slaw, the cole slaw is homemade and delicious. You must try Frankie's you'll never be dissapointed. ...read more

On 4-11, 2010 I had the displeasure of going to Vazzy's in Stratford/Bridgeport. Never again. They tried to seat a party of 20 (a respite lunch) in a very overcrowded room where the whole restaurant was in violation by being way over capacity. They had us sitting in an isle blocking the front exit! They brought us food, then took it away saying they brought it to the wrong table. They treated us worse than livestock at feeding time.
