A Peace of Mind Consulting & Training Academy

I own a small agency, and competency testing for employees can be very expensive. I have a contract for the "Rent APOM', it's affordable and custom tailored to my agency and staffing needs. I have a dedicated day and time for training an unlimited number of employees weekly for a specific fee. The clinical lab has "everything" a home or hospital setting would have or require, which guarantees compliance with the competency evaluations. Also, I highly recommend this option for agencies with a high turnover, as it helps to deflect employee cost. I got an insurance discount for contracting with APOM for competency evaluations. ...read more

We were in a public school, thought going private was going to be better academically for my child. We were wrong. The academic curriculum was slightly better in some areas and worse in others. The daily writing prompt was the same every week and the children are only required write one sentence. What's the point? Not sure about 2013 year, but the school uses Everyday Math ...read more

KUMON center honored "Student of the Month"

To celebrate the Absolutely Incredible Kids Day, KUMON Lakewood is honoring Halle Gerash as our February 2007 "Student of the Month". She was presented with a ribbon, a certificate, and her name on the " Wall of Fame." Do you remember the pre-Christmas snowstorm of 2006? Well, Halle walked through the knee-deep snow of the parking lot and came to class in her ballerina outfit. What an absolutely incredible and dedicated student!!! She attends Foothills Academy and her favorite subjects in school are math and science. She also enjoys piano, swimming, dance and spending time with friends and family. Halle loves to spend time with her best friend Emily Norwood. Halle joined the family of KUMON Center of Lakewood in March of 2006. Her family heard about the KUMON program from a cousin in Chicago. Eleven months later, she does multiple digit addition and subtraction problems with complete ease, mentally, and from left to right without the need to regroup. She recites her multiplication tables with speed, accuracy and confidence. She is focused and extremely conscientious. Halle demonstrated her willingness to do whatever it takes to achieve her goal. Halle is a great KUMON student. She has her KUMON routine at home and never misses her daily assignment. She never complains about homework load or its contents. She does not interrupt others in the classroom. Halle is a great role model for her little brother who had just become our newest Junior KUMON student. "I can count up to 517," said the 5-year-old Will Gerash. Halle Gerash is such a special kid and we are so proud of her accomplishments. Halle has positioned herself for a successful academic career.
