Only buy name brands that you have used before and know to be of decent quality. I just bought a swimsuit by T.H.E. It completely lost all bright color the first time it got wet. \t\n\t\nWhen I called to talk to them about it they blamed the chlorine and were not at all interested in my recommendation that they not carry this line of suit. In fact I had washed the suit since I do not wear anything without washing it first. If you follow the recommendations on the suit it says it can only be used in clear water that is cool. No hot tub, no lake water, no ocean, no chlorinated pools and oh, by the way they don't recommend you use it in the sun either. \t\n\t\nThey said I can come down and discuss it with them. It is a 45 min. drive for me each way. And I think they are unlikely to provide satisfaction if their attitude on the phone was anything to go by. I've been swimming for alot of years and never had a suit that the color basically just washed out of. Waste of money for me and they have lost a customer for the future due to not caring about the quality of the product they carry. ...read more

It's tough for me to find D or DD sized bathing suit tops. I've been looking all over the Vail Valley, but we don't have much up here. I am happy to have found a place that specializes in suits and has my sizes. I've not yet visited the location, but received great customer service over the phone. It sounds like I am going to find a suit on Friday for my vacation! ...read more

I have been a customer of this store for the past 10 years, and was recently quite upset with their return policy and hostile customer service. My last swimsuit that I purchased has upheld through all my lap swimming needs for the past 2 years, including swimming in some pools and hot tubs where the chlorine level was most likely higher than it should've been. However, I have had suits in the past (both Speedo and TYR) where the elastic has gone bad over night after one swim in a pool with incorrect chlorine levels. I came to Swim N Things in search of a suit that would be more likely to withstand the chlorine, like my most current suit had done. \t\n\t\nAfter some discussion about the differences between Lycra and Polyester with the salespeople, they had convinced me that polyester was the way to go--that it would withstand the chlorine, unlike Lycra, but that it may "stretch.". No big deal I thought, so I purchased the expensive suit. I've had the suit for a month, and it has already lost all of it's elasticity. \t\n\t\nWhen I returned to Swim N Things with the month-old receipt to discuss the problem, the same salespeople became immediately defensive and said I bought the suit too big, this is why it lost all elasticity and that they would not take the suit back (this was before I even suggested that I hoped they would return it). They blamed me entirely for the suit's defects and did not so much as lend an open ear to my concerns. \t\n\t\nTheir quick retorts make me think this is a problem that occurs there quite frequently...\t\n\t\nNeedless to say, they would not give me the names or numbers of the store owners or their direct suppliers either. ...read more
