Springs Truck Driving School
By KellyChermack July 15, 2015
First there are not enough words to praise the passion, enthusiasm, and knowledge that Steve and Clint possess. This school will give you all the tools and more you will need to obtain a CDL license and base knowledge of the trucking industry. My husband and I both attended Springs Truck Driving School and we both feel we made a great choice! The amount of "hands on" time is awesome! The instructors are calm and understanding of the challenges of learning so much so quickly. They do not apply undue pressure to perform, and continue to encourage us to slow down and take our time. When one method of teaching doesn't connect with a student, they change their approach, or switch up instructors to allow another perspective. In the first week we each had nearly 30 hours behind the wheel, and our pre-trip and in-cab are nearly perfect due to the daily repetition. We could go on and on and on. Thanks Steve and Clint!! We are proud graduates of Springs Truck Driving School!! ...read more

Independent Childbirth Classes are starting!
The next Westside Birth Connection (WSBC) group class series starts on Thursday, January 3rd, 6:30pm-9pm, at Atlas Chiropractic on the corner of Research and Powers. I teach childbirth education classes that pull from many great resources such as Dr. Robert Bradley, the Lamaze Institute for Normal Birth, author Sheila Kitzinger and midwife Ina May Gaskin. We focus on breathing techniques and many different comfort techniques that I have learned from my experience attending births as a doula and a midwife assistant, both in the hospital setting and the home setting. Group classes are $250 (per couple) for an 8 week course and includes multi-dimensional instruction, a ten chapter student notebook, a postpartum breastfeeding visit, and unlimited phone / email support. If you have given birth before, please feel free to pick and choose the classes you would like to be "refreshed" on, only $30 per class! Also ask about the discounts that are available for my current doula clients, active military and low income families. ...read more
