I came to Narconon in August 2010 for heroin dependency. Up to this point I truly believed that there was no hope for the future. I had already been in several other types of programs without achieving any lasting gains. I feel the main thing I was missing in the other programs was a challenge. I personally attended Narconon Vista Bay in 2003. I used heroin for 8 years prior to that and even tried 2 other rehabs to get straight. Vista Bay gave me the tools to actually live life without drugs and alcohol as opposed to just trying to stay abstinent. The big difference with Vista Bay is that your not labeled as an addict or an alcoholic. I can confidently say I am no longer either one. The staff are very interactive with the clients. They are friendly, respectful, understanding and passionate about their work. They take you into the folds of their family and treat you as such. Throughout my program I was able to fully detoxify my body, get myself centered and away from the negative effects of my past, take responsibility for all my transgressions and repair areas of my life that truly needed it.
