I recently went to Alan Williams Salon in Walnut Creek and had my hair colored and cut & highlighted. My hair looks great, all gray is gone and I have a beautiful brown color with caramel highlights. Alan is very professional, an educator and keeps up to date with what’s new. I love the cut that Alan gave me; it is shoulder length with a little flip and even if I go a little longer in getting my hair cut the shape is still good. I highly recommend getting your hair cut from Alan in his Walnut creek location. The salon has a great atmosphere, and is the perfect size. I don't like going to large salons that are loud and impersonal so this one is fantastic :) I usually get my hair cut and colored every 3 months and have never had bad results. I have very thick, curly, unmanageable hair. He does a great job at making it look thinner, smoother, and healthy. Recently Alan had recommended that I get the keratin smoothing treatment to decrease the frizz and time it took to get ready for the day. The price was reasonable and the results were amazing! In the past I has tried other straighteners and this one is by far the best my hair is so smooth and silky, the volume is still there. I am a big fan of body wraps at the Spa. That is until Miracullum. I was put in a room that was about as appealing as a hospital room... no relaxing aroma therapy, no classic deep heat, no soothing soft light and spiritual music. When I first decided to have cosmetic surgery the first thing I did was Google " Top Ten Board certified plastic in the SF Bay Area." Dr. Jervis' name was on that list along with other respected surgeons. I called his office and requested more information, as I did with the other doctors on that list. What made Dr. Jervis stand out is his extensive medical back ground. Then I met him and his personality set him apart from the others doctors I had seen for consultation. From the moment I stepped into his office I felt very comfortable. His staff is very friendly and down to earth real women. They make everyone feel special. I never felt pressured to make a decision and I was encouraged to do my homework on Dr. Jervis and the liposuction procedure I was seeking. They gave me more then enough information on the procedure to make a educated choice. They also provided me with payment options if I needed them. The most important thing to me is I feel very confident with Dr. Jervis' skill. He has been in the business for so long he knows what works and doesn't work. He doesn't try to sell you on anything you don't need or want. I trust Dr. Jervis with my needs as well as the needs of my family. He removed a very large mole from my young niece's chin and you have to look hard to see the scar. As she grows up you will not be able to tell a mole was ever there. He is also a very generous man. He donates his skills for La Familia, an organization that sends doctors to places like Guatemala and the Philippines to perform cosmetic surgeries for people in need of procedures like cleft lips, facial reconstructions and such. I love the services I receive from Dr. Jervis and his staff. I have had liposuction surgery, laser hair removal (I recommend it to anyone who is tired of shaving you will love it!) and Botox. Where can I begin with this review??? Dr. Jervis has been the artist and I have been his canvas!!! I heard about Dr. J about 5 years ago from my nail technician. She stated that he was THE PLASTIC surgeon to see for a breast augmentation. I had been considering an augmentation following the birth of my fourth child (last one in the litter). I had been doing qute a bit of research and was shopping around to find "the best" and "most reputable" plastic surgeon in the Bay Area. We actually visited 3-4 doctors, including Dr. J prior to making our final decision with Dr. Jervis. We liked is real, bedside manner. He met with me on the very first day and didn't impersonally sit me in front of video. He made the initial contact! I appreciated his concern about my medical history too and my issues with local anesthetic. He didn't come across as "showy" with an overdone office, or that he was in the business JUST because it's glamorous. His history is proven as the facts indicate. He has written medical papers in medical journals and has taught other surgeons in the business. He has been the recipient of my industry and business awards for his practice in Plastic Surgery. Dr. J has had documentaries made about him as an expert in the business for TV. THOSE credentials SPOKE to me. I didn't want to pick a surgeon who had only been in the industry a short time. I wanted expertise. When I selected this doctor, he had done over 2000 augmentations. THAT was a number that impressed me, as it gave me the comfort that this plastic surgeon had seen and done it all. I felt that he was equipped with so many experiences, that his knowledge was sound and proven. SINCE that time, I have had a subsequent augmentation because I made the COMMON error of going too small. Dr. J listened to my concerns and didn't judge my decisions. He gave me his professional opinion and then we made a mutual decision on what was the best choice for my body. He arranged to have my first augmentation performed at the hospital, to ensure my safety. I liked that competencey. He didn't know how I would respond to the anesthetic, so to be safe, we went into the OR at John Muir. I have since had all of my other procedures performed in his Surgi-center and it's worked out fine. I was very comfortable and my husband and gf were both made to feel welcomed. I TRUST Dr. Jervis and his opinion. I love the services that he offers. I have had my spider viens take care of, I have had permanent hair removal from multiple places (yeah no shaving!), I have had brown age spots removed from my face and chest, I have had a laser resurfacing done to my face to help counter wrinkles, I have regular Botox and Juviderm injections for my wrinkles and lips. Most recently, I JUST had Slim Lipo to tighten up some loose skin from a baby belly! What ALL of this adds up to is a body that is now well-maintained. I have been able to slow the aging process down and keep myself in shape, via Dr. J's work, a good diet and regular exercise such as Pilates/Yoga. This has ALL made me feel so much more confident, to the point now where I could even say SENSUAL at 39!!! I operate a nightlife website and I SHOCK people when I tell them I am a mom of 4 boys! Dr. Jervis has been TRULY an integral part of me developing my confident performance image. He accomodates my schedule and his staff feel like FAMILY to me now! I luvvvvvvvv them all.
