Keeping rats and mice out of your business is a fairly simple task. The number 1 thing you need to do is take a walk around the outside of your building with a regular #2 sized pencil. First, check all doors leading into your facility. Make sure they close properly. If you can push the pencil under or between any of these doors, then you will need to install door sweeps or weather stripping. Mice can enter a hole any larger than just 1/4 inch and rats 1/2 inch! 90 % of all rodent infestations can be prevented by just keeping all these doors in good working order and repairing the gaps. Also check for any holes around pipes and wires that lead into the building- A little plaster will easily solve that problem. Make sure to keep all clutter away from the sides of your building and keep shrubery and foilage cut back from the sides. Lastly, keep all trash dumpsters closed and the area around and under them clean. You don't won't to make it attractive for rodents to live next to your building! Hope this helps! ...read more
