Don't send your kids to New Concept Chinese School! Our son, who's in first grade, attended their after-school program for about 2 months, and it was the most terrible experience! The teachers don't care about the kids and let them run around without supervision. They don't even ask the parents to sign the kids out when they are picked up, so the security is lax. Also, we found out right before we pulled our son out of this school that his teacher struck him several times! Once it was for allegedly dropping some scraps of paper on the floor and not picking them up, and other times for writing his Chinese lessons too slowly! She didn't strike him hard enough to leave marks or anything, but it's still wrong (and probably illegal). I don't have one good thing to say about this school except their tuition is cheaper than other programs in the area. We learned the hard way that you get what you pay for. ...read more
