Faithmate.combrings together another faithful pair, who already have “news.” Last week, Faithmate.com was pleased to share the story of Denise and Robert – single Christians who met on Faithmate and married. After posting the story, we received many more stories, like this one: “I met my husband on Faithmate the last week of October 2007,” begins Erin J. Having been too busy to check her Faithmate inbox for two weeks, she was about to delete all the messages. But there was something about those remaining two… “The last two were from a gentleman under the handle JonesJustDesserts. (I was SmilezNBrownIz). I couldn't believe what I was seeing. We had the same likes, dislikes, interests, passions. We even had the same last name (no relation)… I got all that from reading two messages.”  After two weeks of writing, they exchanged numbers. For four months, they communicated every single day, “but it didn't even take us that long to figure out that we were right for each other. We were totally honest with each other about everything and I felt like we knew each other for years.” He “visited me in Kansas City in February, and spent a few days meeting my family, visiting my church,” and the lovely pair, who had planned a wedding for later in the year, realized they couldn’t wait. “We got married March 30th. We had a worship experience during the ceremony. It was absolutely wonderful.” Erin now says, “I am thankful to God and for FaithMate for making our union possible.   Since I met Renauld my life has changed drastically and I understand God's will for my life even the more.” And that’s not all: “We both have a child from previous marriages and are now expecting one together. I remember Renauld praying for a quick work - well things are certainly happening quickly, but I see it as nothing more than a tremendous blessing. “I see nothing but great things ahead for our family.  Thank you all again.” Amen. True Love Finds a Way on Faithmate “Faithmate was a blessing to Robert and me,” says Denise H., who becomes a blushing bride all over again when she describes her match made in heaven. She recites every detail as if it were yesterday. “Robert first contacted me through Faithmate on Aug. 1, 2007. We emailed each other and exchanged numbers.” Though hundreds of miles separated them, they immediately found so many common bonds that they decided to take the next step. “He drove from Atlanta up to Maryland to meet me mid-August.” The stars burst right away for these two – says Denise, “I knew, even from our first encounter, that he was special,” and clearly he felt the same way. “We continued to communicate with one another,” with Robert traveling to Maryland and Denise going to Atlanta. But a challenge from above was laid before the happy couple. On Dec. 7, 2007 Robert suffered a stroke. Now, any Faithmate will tell you that barriers are made to be stepped over. When a door is shut, use the window – Once Robert was released from the hospital in January, Denise flew to Atlanta for 11 days to care for him. “During that time, God brought us closer together.” Though he was getting better, Robert had to move back to New Jersey to be with family since he could not work yet. “We continued to see one another. I actually helped him with his move, driving his car from Atlanta,” writes Denise, before drawing a big breath for the beautiful next chapter of the story: “Robert proposed to me Aug. 4, 2008. We immediately began planning our wedding for May 16, 2009.” But this love would not wait, so “we decided to get married in my home Sept. 25th.” To celebrate this union, Faithmate is bringing Robert and Denise to visit Bishop Noel Jones at theCity of Refuge Churchin Los Angeles in December.
