You can't beat this company for finding the perfect piece of exotic hardwood. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and not intimidating if you don't know what you're looking for. The owner hand picks most of the wood himself. Great selection of wood I've never seen before that is easy to inspect in a really clean warehouse. I went to Global Wood Source looking for some new flooring. I bought 4,000' of quarter sawn Northern Oak, though the large selection made it difficult to choose. It is wheat colored and absolutely gorgeous!!! I had it installed in our Newport Beach front home and the installer said it was the best material he has ever worked with. As compared to other hardwood suppliers, Global Wood Source stands in a league of its own. Not only is the selection of domestic and exotic woods extensive, but the sheer quantity of inventory is amazing. This facility is a woodworkers Disneyland. And to back it up, Russ will take you to whatever depth of detail you need on any one of those woods, as he doesn't just sit on the phone and order product. He travels the world and hand picks logs.
