We highly recommend Mussman Design Associates. Stan and Andrea are very good designers. We did need to adjust our budget, but to be fair to the Mussmans, my wife and I didn't really understand what things cost. Mussman Design was handed some difficult projects within our home trapped in the '70's. Stan and Andrea are very good about listening and instinctively knowing exactly what it takes to deliver. We love our newly designed home! Phase one is so comfy, and a tasteful blend of elegance and function-with a few unexpected surprises. We have already scheduled phase two to commence in the fall. Entered into contract at the end of 2012 to do a home renovation of nearly $200K. Ruth Construction abandoned the contract on 9/6/2013 after repeated (over 5) schedule change and none deliver - Contract was turned over to a foreman with NO California licensing, employed by Roth Construction (Look up Bill Moss in California licensing board to see if you find a license) - Hires questionable Subs with their under aged children working as employees. Also had workers just bailed out of jail (Look up Andrew Ath Thi in criminal records) - Breach of contract on multiple schedule changes and work stoppage through the project and other parts of the contract. - Very poor quality of work as a result of mismanagement and lack of supervision. Including shower doors that leaked, Toilets that ran. All had to be corrected by us - Damaged a lot of our personal property during contract, including a brand new fridge, stove and appliances, fountains, plants ... - Un-safe work delivery, including missing vent holes and support needed - Charged nearly $14,000 for real hardwood flooring and in the end delivered manufactured wood and did not even finish the flooring after 3 weeks - None payment to sub-contractors that caused lien notices and aggravations to us - Over charges from estimates for electrical for over $2000.00 - Removed personal assets from our house with out permission, such as brand new under counter microwave, cabinets and toiletry - Took food, drinks and ice-cream from our fridge without permission and left the wrappings for us to clean ...read more

I drop off the our silhouette shade that is darkened with black mold. It looks & smells horrible! We have little hope the mold can be removed. The shade came out spotless after cleaning, I was thrilled. They also make my kitchen blind sparkle again. It was sticky with cooking grease and food stains. Apparently they used a dry cleaning chemical that fused the backing on the drapes.They advertise drapes as a specialty, so you would expect they know how to clean drapes (in addition to the fact that the tag on the drapes had washing instructions, which they ignored).They told me this without a hint of an apology. Further, they made me wait to hear that they had ruined my expensive drapes after another customer who came in AFTER me.These guys have NO IDEA what they are doing. AVOID. ...read more

The second-to-worst experience I've ever had with any business, ever. They erroneously gave my clothes to another patron, could not get them back, and refused to reimburse me in full!! I was shocked that such a relatively new business would treat a customer in such a poor manner. Anyway, it worked out for the best -- I discovered a much better dry cleaner in the shopping complex in the next block over (next to the 7 Eleven). If you have a similar experience, please consider filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
