I went to this Check into Cash yesterday for the first time. I was somewhat embarrassed that I had to use a payday loan services especially as a retired state employee with a $4000+ monthly pension. The office manager Raquel was very friendly and professional. However, the staff person who assisted me was condescending, spoke to me loudly and constantly rolled her eyes up whenever I asked a question. After having me complete the application and write out a check, she than began to call my references (they demand four) to verify that they knew me. Is that legal? I wasn't asking for a car loan (although banks don't do that either), I simply wanted a $100 loan. Once I realized what she was doing, I withdrew my application and then she refused to give me back my application documents which included my SSN#. She stated that they would shred my application, but it belonged to them. I demanded that the documents were shredded immediately and while I watched. She refused to do so until her manager intervened and shredded the documents. Something tells me that this business is rude to its customers in that area. Don't go there, unless you are extremely desperate, don't have an automobile to go to another payday loan business and it's after 5:00 PM. I went to another payday loan service after leaving this sub-par business and their customer service was respectable and the staff weren't condescending. Considering that most of the staff make a little more than minimum wage, it's difficult to comprehend why they have a superiority attitude towards customer. Don't go there if you can help it. I use to take out payday loans here at this location a few months back, i havn't in awhile but i often stop by to say hello and load a pre paid card. If I were to ever need a loan I would definitley go here first ...read more
