In late 2010 Michael became interested in the nascent medical cannabis industry and correctly predicted that the acceptance of Medical Cannabis market would expand. This interest gave way to refocusing of his energy to establish a foothold in the industry and using his knowledge of finance, private equity, and real estate, he entered the California market, quickly establishing himself as an industry expert. In 2014, Michael King entered a business relationship with his partners and they devised a strategy to establish themselves as the leaders in the burgeoning Southern California cannabis industry. They formed Kings Garden, their operations company, structured to operate both cultivation, retail, and manufacturing facilities with the intent of growing Kings Garden into a leading, vertically integrated cannabis cultivation and distribution company. Together the team established approximately 250,000+ sft of profitable cultivation and manufacturing facilities. The company has recently merged all of its affiliated companies into the Kings Garden structure, thereby achieving their initial business objective.
