I've lived in the East Bay on and off for the last year and have had 4 assignments with Diversified, ranging from reception to inventory in a warehouse to filing in the SF financial district.\t\n\t\n I don't have much experience, but I think they see I work hard and I feel like they really do the best to get work for me. I've learned quite a bit. I've liked some employers more than others, but never had any problem with Diversified. Very friendly, even when I've asked them to fax me a last minute time sheet.\t\n\t\nPlus, I don't know what the previous reviewer is talking about about public trans, because I haven't driven to any of my assignments and the people at Diversified keep this on record--they go out of their way to tell me the public transit directions with out my even asking. I'm not coming from San Mateo, but they are located in Oakland, so realistically they can only cover a certain geographical distance. \t\n\t\nI will say that my assignments have mostly been short--2 weeks max, or weekly for 8 weeks. But this is what I've wanted--I think they would accommodate temps who want more intensive work too.\t\n\t\nFinally, most or all of their employers are non-profits or government orgs, which fits my comfort zone a bit more in terms of office culture. \t\n\t\n4/5 stars--one star off just because I could do with assignments a little more frequently. but in this economy, I don't really blame them...\t\nAnd this change of phone systems away from a 9-5 receptionist. ...read more

This company is owned by a woman who really cares about you as a person. I have been in constant contact with this office over the years and have had only the most positive results. Other recruiters are not as honest. At least this firm tells you truthfully what your chances are based upon a thorough review of your resume and skills. While I didn't get a job through them, their help was invaluable. They seem to genuinely care. I know some folks get frustrated when someone can't help them or they are searching for somethiing they are not qualified for but at least this firm always tells it like it is. It is tough out there and job hunting is hard. PS. The address is wrong, they are at 570 Monterey Blvd, SF 94127 415-405-0051 that old address is a recruiter I once worked with who has left. ...read more

Frequently Asked Questions About Live Scan Fingerprinting

What is Live Scan Fingerprinting? Live Scan is an inkless electronic fingerprinting. Applicant fingerprints are electronically transmitted to the Department of Justice for completion of a criminal record check. The Live Scan technology replaces the process of recording fingerprint patterns through a rolling process using ink. Ink fingerprinting is still required in many states. Digitizing the fingerprint images enables service providers much like Certifix Live Scan to electronically transmit fingerprints to the Department of Justice in a matter of seconds, instead of the days required to send hard copy fingerprint cards through the mail. Additionally, the Department of Justice forwards Live Scan Fingerprints to the FBI (if required). We offer both live scan services and ink fingerprint card services, we are the largest California LiveScan provider; so take advantage of our many locations. Who Needs Live Scan Anyway? Real Estate Licensees, DMV Licensed Professionals, Notaries, Foster Parents, Teachers, Appraisers, Care Givers, Stock Brokers,Contractors, Nurses, Doctors, Surgeons, Security Guards, Volunteers, Lawyers, etc. What are the benefits of Live Scan? The Live Scan process helps in avoiding many of the problems associated with ink prints, such as smudging, smearing, and over or under inking. A major benefit of Live Scan is that your fingerprints are transmitted directly to the Department of Justice. The Department of Justice conducts a criminal background check, based on your fingerprints, results are sent within 24 to 48 hours to your employer or licensing agency. Background of Live Scan As a result of legislation passed in 1997, the Department of Justice (DOJ) has developed the automated background check process which requires digitized fingerprints ("Live Scan"). Digitizing the fingerprints enables the electronic transfer of fingerprint images to the DOJ, which saves both time and money. How Does the Process Work? A Trained and Certified Technician will scan your fingerprints using a Live Scan machine. The electronic fingerprinting session takes five to ten minutes and your prints are immediately sent via electronic transmission to the appropriate FBI-Certified channeling agencies for background processing. The technician collect all the appropriate fees from you (the live scan applicant). How to check your live scan results? To check for your fingerprint results, simply call the Department of Justice at (916) 227-4557. Make sure to have your birth date and ATI number available. The ATI number is on the bottom of the request for livescan form. The system will prompt you to type in the ATI number, for the letters type in the corresponding numbers. For the birth date, type a two digit month, a two digit day, and a four digit year (MM/DD/YYYY). ...read more
