We need your old shoes!

Our Center Donated 100K Pairs Of Shoes For Those In Need While doing free podiatry care for the impoverished areas of Mexico,  Dr. Kim noticed that many of the foot problems suffered by these patients could have been eliminated if they just had the proper protection — shoes!  So, in 1997, Dr. Kim started collecting used shoes from his patients and colleagues, and donating to those less fortunate in Mexico and Los Angeles.  That’s how the annual Kim Foot & Ankle Shoe Drive was born, and has since donated well over 100,000 pairs of shoes over the last 19 years.  With your help, we can make this year our biggest shoe donation yet. Because we believe – as you do too – that no person, regardless of age, race, gender, or income level, be without a decent pair of shoes, and have to suffer from foot or ankle pain. ...read more

Cranial Nerves

Cranial Nerves and Their Functions Headaches and neck pain image. The olfactory nerves control your sense of smell. Did you know that there are 12 pairs of cranial nerves that perform some highly sophisticated functions? Some of these direct the activities of our muscles, some relay information from the sensory organs to the brain, and some are linked to internal organs such as the heart and lungs. Each of the cranial nerves is referred to by Roman Numerals: i. Olfactory– linked to the sense of smell ii. Optic– linked to vision iii. Oculomotor– connected to eye movement and dilating the pupils iv. Trochlear– also connected to eye movement, particularly eyelids and eyeball v. Trigeminal– linked to facial sensation and chewing vi. Abducens– linked to side-to-side eye movement vii. Facial– controls facial movements, taste and sensory information from the ear viii. Vestibulocochlear– relates to hearing and sense of balance ix. Glossopharyngeal– controls muscles for swallowing and our sensation of taste x. Vagus– motor function to the larynx, modulates heart rate and digestive organs xi. Spinal Accessory- controls the muscles responsible for head movement xii. Hypoglossal– controls the muscles of the tongue Of course, any type of disease, injury or accident to a cranial nerve may affect the functioning of what that specific nerve controls. Just as we can test the functioning of nerves that exit along your spine, there are tests which can reveal whether each cranial nerve is functioning properly. ...read more

Tips for Natural Migrain Relief

An approximate 300 million people suffer from migraine pain. That's the bad news. The good news is that migraine relief is not limited to extra strength pain relievers which may or may not work. A migraine sufferer can obtain natural migraine relief with a few simple techniques. Try these tips: Cool your head for natural migraine relief.Just as you feel the onset of a migraine, take cold gel packs and place them around your head. Hold them in place with a towel or shower cap. Rest.Alternatively you can take a thin, small bath towel, fill it with ice, roll it and place it around your head. You may need to use elastic or a large scarf to tie it to your head. For natural migraine relief, draw the blood down from your head and into your body.Do this with foot hydrotherapy. Get a small tub or bucket that you can comfortably fit your feet. Fill it with water as hot as you can comfortably tolerate. Soak your feet for up to 10 minutes but for at least five. After the hot water foot soak, ...read the rest of the articlehere. ...read more

Origins

I'm George Jackson and I have a passion for helping people heal. I have an industrial engineering degree which made me a living for years, but it never gave me the fulfillment I was looking for. Through a series of events that span most of my life, I was given clues that I was meant to work in the healing arts. I consider what I do not a job but a calling. In 2004, I finally had the good sense to heed the call! It was then that I was first exposed to this wonderful tool known as bioresonance therapy and obtained my biofeedback therapist certification. Since then, I have also trained in endocrinology (the study of hormones and how to manage them) and blood chemistry. These and other tools I now use work very well together. While I never stop learning, you can be assured I am now well-equipped and deeply committed to help maximize the health of my clients. And when I see a need I cannot fulfill, I am quick to refer clients to other health professionals I work with whose specialties complement my own. ...read more
