After we had done business for years here when it came to vacuums, my spouse recommended them when I was looking for a used sewing machine. I only needed something basic and didn't want to spend a fortune. For $79 I got way more than my money's worth, plus free bobbins and thread thrown in. Additionally, although I wasn't purchasing one of their new machines, I still qualified for their free on-site sewing lessons if I was interested. Owner Matthew was really nice and polite, extremely helpful in the selection process, and I'm guessing it was his wife Suzanne teaching some people to sew in the adjacent room. The moment you walk in you know you're looking at a fabulously kitschy piece of Americana that still exists in some towns. Love the vibe." "Al's Vac and Sew is the only place to bring your sewing and vacuum needs. The man is honest as the day is long. You may have to leave your machine for repair, but rest assured it is for good reason. He is an excellent trouble shooter and will find the problem. If it is worth fixing, he'll do it, if it needs adjustment, he'll do that too. If the problem cannot be repaired and [it is] not worth replacing he'll be honest with that also; same thing with sewing machines and sergers.
