Chris is knowledgeable and prompt. He came out to spray the flowering pears but the buds weren't open enough for the treatment to be most effective, so he rescheduled and came back a week later. He could have saved himself a 2nd trip but he did what was best for the trees, not his schedule. He explained the disease process and described how the treatment is meant to be effective. Initially I was happy with Duarte's - but then the bees came back - but Duarte's wouldnt. After a verbal on the phone agreeing to come back and take care of the problem - they didn't. Numerous phone calls - numerous messages - and numerous weeks later - my small bee problem is now huge. I am having to use another service (and pay a lot more money) to finally remove the bees. Bee Removal can be a difficult process with so many companies online. The best way in my experience is to ask as many questions as possible. Make sure the company has proper training for removals that work or fit with your needs, such as "Live Removals". Here in California bee's are still at their lowest numbers compared to 10 years ago. Bee's are very important to us and to our crops. Also make sure the company is insured especially if your removal requires extracting a hive from your roof. I've spoke to many clients and the consensus is first impressions. Make sure the company sends a technician to your home instead of a salesman. Sales sometimes look at the dollar amount instead of a fair competitive rate. Warranties are one of the most important factor, once your removal has been completed a good solid warranty is needed in writing. A common warranty for a roof removal should be at least 2 years. A warranty should be given with all removals,but, would depend on circumstances. A solid general removal warranty should be no less that 1-2 years for the non returning of bees. Finally make sure you are comfortable with the tech that will be going the work,. His truck should be well maintained as well as his tools should be of a commercial nature.
