This is going to be a long review so to summarize why I recommend you work with Melody:\t\n* Skilled esthetician (my skin loves her!)\t\n* Professional and sincere\t\n* Easygoing, great listener and friendly\t\n* No pressure/up selling\t\n* Works within your budget/schedule\t\n* Appreciative of your business\t\n\t\nWhen I moved to Orange County, I needed to find a new person to clean up my brows. I found good reviews about Melody so called her and was able to make an appointment the same day. She was very nice and professional on the phone so that was a great start. During my visit, Melody was very easy to work with. I have had some bad experiences in the past with brows being too thin or being burned by wax. Melody patiently listened to my concerns and did a great job! \t\n\t\nAs others have mentioned, Melody will let you know what you need and not up sell you. Before I left, she mentioned that she could do a skin consultation for me if I were interested in the future. I had not really thought highly of facials after a bad experience post-college -- (see a trend here? :) . A year later, I was engaged and starting to plan for the wedding so I decided to do the consultation with Melody. She came up with a plan (including which products to use) that worked in my budget. \t\n\t\nHere are some unsolicited comments from my wedding vendors which should give you a very good idea of Melody's skill:\t\n* Wedding planner - after one microderm session, I saw my WP right after. She was surprised that I had just had a micro because my skin did not look irritated at all. \t\n* Makeup artist - I saw her for the practice session early in my treatments with Melody. When she saw me on my wedding day, she commented how my skin looked great/different!\t\n\t\nMore recently, my younger sister worked with Melody for a couple of months while she was in CA for the summer. Between college stress and some bad Neutrogena product, my sister's skin had a major breakout in the last half of her freshman year (we're talking before pictures in the acne commercials - sorry Sis!). She heard me talk about Melody and I guess she thought my skin looked good ;) so she wanted to contact Melody. My sister wanted to pay for her own treatments so Melody again did a great job of working within her client's budget, timeline and needs. She is a new addition to the team at Hair and Skin Technology but she has been in a hair artistry for 17 years and Sasson trained. I have struggled with acne most of my teenage and young adult life. I have tried the popular products, but they did not seem to work for me. When I booked my initial appointment with Anna, I felt very comfortable right away. I attribute it to the cozy home-like atmosphere of her salon and her caring soft-spoken demeanor. I heard a lot about Anna, her experience and skills. But she exceeded my expectations. She knows everything about skin care and her signature Classic European Facial was something really pleasurable. Go to Kona! The best spray tanning color I've ever seen! I didn't smell at all after I was tanned, and I didn't look orange. I wasn't blotchy either! My spray tan has lasted 11 days, and is barely fading so far. I've been airbrushed by other companies and they don't really compare. It's like an art here. Even my hands and feet looked perfect. I came to Skin Technology as a last resort for my acne. I had tried several methods to rid of it,, including what felt like every over the counter product. When I visited a laser institution, I felt that prodcedure would be too extreme, plus incredibly pricey. I went to Skin Technology, and met Melody. After a handful of visits,,,my skin was drastically better. As in, I wasnt breaking out anymore!!From there, Melody worked on scarring, and the overall health of my skin with the facials she was giving me. THE MOST PLEASING FACIAL EVER. I am new in town and my friend who has been going to skin technology for many years refer me to this place.
