Dear Friends and Clients: The beginning of summer has definitely arrived, and it has beenHOT HOT HOThere in Chatsworth! For those of you that don’t know, Scott and I have become very involved in leading the newly formed SLC (Small Learning Community), headed by Engineering and Design teacher Amy Aviv, and based out ofChatsworthHigh School. This is a program with the objective of giving students the skills they need to begin their lives after high school. We have conceptualized and are developing the“GO GREEN! A.C.E.R.”(Active Community Energy Reduction” program that will, in the long run, give companies more skilled labor, reduce energy consumption, and, because of the efficiencies created, will have the ability to keep business here in Chatsworth, and eventually the entire Valley andCalifornia, as it gains momentum. We are thinking of ideas to produce our own energies, and lift entire communities off of the DWP grid. The program has a lot of support, from the educators at the high school, community college and University levels, to the State and Federal education agencies, DWP, So Cal Gas, other Chatsworth businesses, energy experts, and our own Councilman Greig Smith’s office with great help from John Bwarie. We consider all of our clients, vendors and business affiliates partners in this program, because without your help and support, we could not go forward with these ideas. We will keep you posted on the developments of this program. We are happy to announce that last week, our General Manager, Mike Moses, graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration! It has been a long three years, and we are proud of his accomplishments. Thank you again for your continued loyalty to Andrews Powder Coating.
