All Points Chem-Dry Professional Carpet Cleaning & Repairs

Simple Solutions for Common Carpet Problems If your carpet is discolored or just has those annoying carpet depressions left by moving heavy furniture, the information below can help you fix these problems and save you money. Spot Remover Took the Color from Your Carpet? Possible Solutions - If the spot remover you used altered the color of your carpet, try touching up small places with artists' acrylic paint. If acrylic paint doesn't work, try using a felt-tip marker or a permanent-ink marker of the appropriate color. Go slowly, and blend the color into the fibers. This solution works well for low traffic carpet areas.  However, it is vital that you match the color of your carpet as closely as possible. How to Remove Depressions from Your Carpet - To raise depressions left in a carpet by heavy furniture, try steaming. Hold a steam iron close enough for steam to reach the carpet, butdo notlet the iron touch the fibers, especially if they are synthetic, because they could melt. Lift the fibers by scraping them with the edge of a coin or spoon. This simple process allows the carpet fibers to relax and gentle pressure from the coin or spoon helps them stand back up. If you have any questions concerning how to deal with special problems related to your carpet, call the experts at All Points Chemdry at 714-671-9466.  Our professional staff can repair many common carpet problems.  After all, we all want to get the longest life possible from our carpets and we hope you find the above tips helpful. ...read more

Discount Carpet Cleaning | Brea California, Orange County

Servicing the fine community of Brea, California. Steam Carpet Cleaning and How it Works* By  Carpet Cleaning | Brea, Ca One of the most widely used methods of carpet cleaning is the steam carpet cleaning method. As the primary mode of cleaning carpet, many of the professional carpet cleaning companies use this method. This method of cleaning carpets is also known as Hot Water Extraction. Other carpet cleaning methods can be counted as light surface cleaning. Steam carpet cleaning is considered the only real deep cleaning method. Many people considered steam carpet cleaning as the automatic choice for maintenance and cleaning method, except alternative carpet cleaning methods came to. This is why till today, steam carpet cleaning has been one of the major carpet cleaning businesses in the United States. Here, in this article, we will discuss a few essential facts about steam carpet cleaning that you must know about. Is It Water Steam or Spray? This is known as the process of steam cleaning. A fine spay is normally applied first. This forces water into the carpet and breaks up the dirt deep down. The vacuum cleaner is located in the front of the sprayer and then sucks up all the dirt. In the steam carpet cleaning method, professionals spray a water solution mixed with detergent over the carpet. Then a vacuum cleaner is used to remove the water and soil together. Truck-Mounted Vacuum vs. Portable Vacuum Many professional cleaners use a truck-mount vacuum machine to extricate the soils from the carpet, or else, they may also count on small and portable vacuum machine which can be carried over to the home or office. Nevertheless, the truck-mounted system is the most common because it provides a better cleaning. This steam carpet cleaning method is mostly appreciated, seeing as the truck-mounted system extricates the dirty air and humidity outside of the house. It does not allow the dirty air to re-circulate throughout the house. In addition to that, the truck-mounted system is more efficient than the portable system and the truck-mounted system facilitates a better cleaning job. Potential Drawbacks You can see that steam carpet cleaning gets the carpet wet. In addition to that, the pad at the bottom of the carpet also becomes wet. If there is not any ventilation in the room or if the humidity is too high then steam cleaning of carpet may increase the vulnerability of mold growth. Once the evolution starts, it is virtually impossible to resist. It can also create some health problems like asthma and allergies. Many cleaners use products to help cut down on mold growth. If you have a professional doing the job you do not really need to worry about it. Remember us in Brea, California when you are in need of the best Carpet Cleaning service, because in Orange County - we are the best in the business! The true #1 carpet cleaning business that has been around for many years and will be for many more to come. *Source: Jacob Erdei  ...read more

Carpet Cleaning Brea Ca, All Points Carpet Cleaning 714-671-9466

(714)-671-9466Info@emailallpoints.comhttp://www.chem-dry.net/allpoints.ca/about/brea-carpet-cleaning Holiday Carpet Cleaning Tips from All Points Chemdry After the holidays, when we have all had more family and friends over to our home or place of business, we seem to accumulate more stains on our carpets. Sometimes these capret stains can seem daunting and or near impossible to get out. However, the professionals here at All Points want to pass-on a few tips when dealing with spills and carpet stains that can help: 1.  Spills or stains on a carpet should never be rubbed rashly as this may only spread the stain and may cause it to become permanent. Rubbing may also weaken the carpet fiber causing it to wear out sooner. 2.  Stains that are not treated quickly and correctly will most likely re-appear at the surface of your carpet. It will not take long for the stain that you thought was cleaned and gone to re-appear on the surface of your rug. To prevent this from happening, you should cover the stain with a thick cloth and weigh it down with something heavy for 8 to 12 hours. This will allow the cloth to absorb the stain and allow you to clean as usual. 3.  A thorough carpet cleaning should be done at least every six months to a year. While steam cleaning your carpets will get them clean, it will also flood your carpet and pad with too much water. It usually takes 1 to 2 days for a steam cleaned carpet to dry.  During this time, water will continue to "wick" to the surface of your carpet and it can capture dirt and other contaminants from the air as it dries. Chem-dry uses the "The Natural" a proprietary carpet cleaning solution that is non-toxic and safe for kids and pets. Our cleaning mixture lifts dirt to the surface where it is removed by the cleaning unit. We use less water and your carpets can dry in 1 to 2 hours instead of days. To have a clean carpet, you need to have it either cleaned by a professional carpet cleaner or you will need to use a deep cleaning machine. There are advantages as well as disadvantages to each of these choices. 4.  Inspect your carpet for spills and take care of them quickly to maintain a clean carpet. Water can help resolve most spills. And, if that doesn't work, expand your search for other options. You will find several products on the market that can help you to get rid of spills quickly. You can also use a mixture of water and vinegar to help you keep the stains out. Taking immediate action can help to prevent spills from becoming stains leaving you with a clean carpet. 5.  Take the time to vacuum often enough and make sure to do it correctly. That means going over the floor in several directions to allow the vacuum to pick up all the debris it can. A high quality vacuum is the best choice. Make sure to use it correctly as you are directed by the manufacturer. Also, make sure to keep the bags or containers empty and filters clean as well. 6.  The easiest way to keep your carpets clean is the proper use of an entrance mat. An entrance mat will help clean off people's shoes and will keep most of the tracked in soils off the carpet surfaces. When using entrance mats there are two very important considerations for making them as effective as possible. The first is the mat must be long enough length should be between 6 to 12 feet long, with 10 to 12 feet long being the best. There also needs to be mats placed outside your home or building. These will remove the larger particles of soil. The second is they must be cleaned on a regular basis before they reach the point of total saturation. When a mat reaches this point it can no longer hold the soils and they end up spilling onto the floor it is protecting. Monitoring areas outside your home or building and well positioned entrance mats are ways we can prevent most of the soils from entering the house or building. No matter how efficient your protective maintenance is, a certain amount of soil will get in. 7.  About 80% of soils in your carpet enter a building or house are dry. The remaining 20% are oils, greases and starches. The dry soils are easily removed by vacuuming and as long as they are removed on a daily basis it will help minimize the damage. Routine cleaning of your carpets is necessary to not only remove allergens but to also prevent organisms such as carpet-beetles and carpet bugs from living in your carpet. CLEANING LAMINATE FLOORING

The after care that laminate flooring requires is very little and extremely simple. Cleaning laminate flooring, if carried out regularly, can keep yourfloorlooking like new for many years to come. A simply brush over with a soft headed brush or a very slightly dampmop, is all that is needed when cleaning laminate flooring. Follow this with the use of avacuumcleaneraround the edges of the room, and that is all that is generally required. Special cleaning pads are available which look very much like a mop, and have replaceable wipes that wrap around the pad which attracts the dust, etc. and these make cleaning laminate flooring even easier. Make sure that if you use a mop you do not soak the floor, as this could cause the edges of thelaminateboards to start to expand and the whole floor may start to buckle. For stain removal, do not use a strongdetergent. Use a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. For large cleaning of stains, etc. on laminate flooring, use a mop with ammonia or a mixture of water and vinegar. Where ever possible try to use citrus-based cleaners, and not the conventional soap-based cleaners. Always test a new cleaning product on an area of laminate flooring that is out of sight, such as under the cooker or fridge for example. When cleaning laminate flooring do not use steel wool, sandpaper, or scouring powder on the laminate surface, and also never try to sand, wax, or apply lacquer to the laminate flooring. To avoid any marks that could potentionally be left by furniture, use felt pads under the furniture legs, etc. Try to always use adoormatat every exterior doorway. This helps trap any dirt etc., but also traps small stones and grit which may scratch the surface of your laminate flooring. Always read the "care" instructions concerning cleaning laminate flooring, that come with your purchase, and adhere to them. The manufacturers care instructions would overide any care instructions shown on this page. By following the manufacturers instructions and these supplementary tips on cleaning laminate flooring, your floor should look as good as the day it was installed, for many years to come. ...read more

CARPET

Carpet is the flooring of choice for most homeowners where warmth and comfort are a priority in their decorating. The performance and quality of a carpet is directly related to the amount and quality of fiber that goes into the pile. The better the fiber and the denser it is packed, the better the carpet will perform. Thin, less dense carpet will lose its surface appearance faster. It is best to buy the highest quality carpet and cushion that you can afford. The most common fibers used in carpet today are nylon, olefin, polyester and natural fibers such as wool or sisal. The inherent characteristics found in each of these fibers helps determine their use and color offering. Premium, nylon soft fibers are extremely popular and offer superior soil-hiding characteristics, comfort, durability and brilliant color palettes. With soil-resistant treated carpets you no longer have to be afraid of choosing a lighter, more vibrant color to enhance your decor. Most residential carpets offer some type of stain resistance. Carpet construction varies from loops, cut piles to patterns which produce different degrees of texture, appearance and durability. ...read more
