5 Simple Steps to Get a Dumpster
Step 1: Why do you need a Dumpster? In most cases you need a dumpster to dispose of unwanted material. It could be general household, general-office, construction, hazardous waste, dirt, concrete, asphalt, green waste or material that can be recycled as well. Step 2: Is the resident where the dumpster will be dropped in the county? If you are located in county areas, then dumpster rental service is open to all companies to do business in those areas. If not, you need to check with your local city agency or the folks who pickup your weekly trash. They can provide more information about dumpster service in your area. Dumpster rental rates are typically higher where there is no free enterprise. If you have further questions, one of our Sales staff can help you as well. Step 3: Can I put the container on the street? Some cities require that you have a permit before putting a container on city property. If so, you need to check with your local city officials before ordering the dumpster. It typically takes 1 or 2 days to get a permit. Step 4: How much material is being move from your location? This will determine the dumpster size. Dumpsters are measured in cubic yards. 1 cubic yard is equivalent to washer machine 3x3x3. Our dumpster containers range from 20 cubic yards to 45 cubic yards. Dumpster Length, Width and Heights are listed below. You can find a picture of the dumpsters by clicking on this link-Dumpster Sizes 20 yard dumpster - 16'L 8'W 4'H or equivalent to 20 washer machines 25 yard dumpster - 15'L 8'W 6'H or equivalent to 25 washer machines 30 yard dumpster - 22'L 8'W 5'H or equivalent to 30 washer machines 35 yard dumpster - 20'L 8'W 6'H or equivalent to 35 washer machines 40 yard dumpster - 22'L 8'W 6'H or equivalent to 40 washer machines Special dumpsters used for dirt, concrete, asphalt, rock, gravel etc. 10 yard dumpster - 16'L 8'W 2'H 25 yard dumpster - 22'L 8'W 2'H Step 5 – Now that we know the size of the dumpster, what are the prices? Prices in some case are based on weight. We offer a variety of dumpster pricing models. Information below is used only as examples only. Dirt, concrete, and asphalt are fixed priced. These special dumpster containers are suited to be filled 1" from the top. No weight restrictions here. General household material, construction and demolition are weighed at the dump facility before given a price. Of course, construction and demolition is typically heavier than general household so the dumpster rental price would be higher. Some companies offer one set dumpster price for household, construction, and demolition and that price is typically set at the higher mark. Why pay the high mark for lighter material - rent a container for a specific job or project. Green waste material is typically the less expensive given the nature of material. Landfills want this material (after they mulch the material) to put as a final covering over the trash….so the price is marked down even further. There are typically 2 ways to get a dumpster price – Flat rate and Tonnage. We offer both. As an example, $375.00 is a flat rate quote. You tell me the contents, and then I will give you the best competitive rate. On the other hand, tonnage requires a little more thinking and it's very important to know how much material (its the "weight" that is important here) you're putting in the container. Here is an example for a 30 yard container for construction project. I'll give you a 30 yard dumpster for $350.00 for the 1st 5 tons. For every ton above 5 tons, the price is $75.00 per ton. So let's say that total tonnage comes to 8 tons, and then the price will be $575.00 (225.0 + 350). There could also be hidden fees. Step 6: Let's go dumpster shopping! Now that you have reviewed the 5 basic steps in getting a dumpster, shop around then give us a call for a very competitive rate. Our sales team will be happy to talk to you about your disposal needs so give us a call at 626-294-9594 so we can get your project underway. ...read more
