Please remind your children of the BASIC lessons in life. Although repetitive, these are the things that help them stay SAFE their whole life. I have investigated and helped prosecute thousands of cases. Many of them would have never occurred if basic common sense rules were applied. Talk with your children and ask them challenging questions. Prepare them for the REAL world. Run scenarios with them and ask open ended questions. Probe their mind and give them suggestions to make better decisions. Define to them who a stranger is. A stranger is ANYONE who does or says something that makes them feel uncomfortable. This could be a family friend, a relative,a step parent, or someone they know. Teach them what to do and the most important thing is BELIEVE them. Set a good example for your children with lots of LOVE, UNDERSTANDING, FAITH, FORGIVENESS and RESPECT. Teach your kids how to say NO, discipline them and allow them to express themselves. Remember if you don't teach them someone else will.
Take care and God Bless,
James
