On the residential side, Wi-Fi cams have revolutionized the space.  No wires, no fuss.  Place & move them wherever!On the commercial side, HDMI HD over COAX brings 1080p to surveillance!  Still a bit pricey. But also new H.240 compression is almost as good at a fraction of the price.  Goodbye MPEG 4!  Hello super High Resolution.
