Recently my backwash valve became difficult to push up and down. I googled pool repair in Tucson and thought liquid assets was a catchy name. I called and their guy came out and explained that the orings needed lubricating on a regular basis. He had difficulty removing the part and called me out to explain that the rubber orings can swell up over time due to exposure to chemically treated water etc.. He went on to tell me that there was a risk of breaking off the middle of the backwash valve and what the extra cost would be if it broke, and whether or not I wanted him to continue. Well, it had to be fixed so I told him to go ahead. He wrestled with that thing for at least 30 minutes before going to his truck. He came back with a blue algaecide and commenced to pouring it around and inside the backwash valve. I asked what he was doing and he said "it's a trick I learned along the way." Pool solution failed to collect payment from a home warranty company I had and waited 6 months before notifying me they were turning it over to collection. Not once did they talk to me or discuss the matter with me prior to turnining it over to collection. The amount was only $139.00 in which I would have gladly paid if they could have proved they did not get paid and the warranty company refused to pay. I filed a claim with the BBB and they failed to even respond to the complaint. The whole point of having home warranty is subsidize the cost of home ownership repairs. Why would I pay a home warranty company and still have to pay Pool Solutions. I think their practice was unprofessional and unethical. You would think they would not even perform the work if they they claimed they were not paid, that is usually the policy of vendors working with home warranty companies.
