Gardens are nice but negative experience with using Groupon coupon. Paid in full in advance $8 to Groupon for admission for two at TUCSON BOTANICAL GARDEN. Receptionist still tried to charge entrance at 9am on 5-31-12 even though Groupon coupon required no further payment. First tried to charge $24. When I explained about Groupon coupon, she said I still owed $16. I explained that again that it was paid in full and she still tried to charge extra $8. I explained it was only for two people and the third person in our group was not going into the garden. She finally very condescendingly allowed two people to enter on GROUPON coupon. Reception rude and discourteous, perhaps because she is white and we are brown and Indian so she thought we are ignorant hicks she could easily cheat. Obviously I can only speculate on her motives since I can never know them for sure but I can certainly comment unequivocally on her behavior. I love making the trip down to Downtown Tucson to have a cup of coffee at the cafe, and/or sit outside on the patio and remember why I love Tucson. I never get tired of the retro decor, or the interesting people I meet there.\t\n\t\nThe ONLY thing keeping me from giving the very highest ranking is the average service from the waitstaff. Usually really good, the last several visits have been a little disappointing in this regard - but, let's face it - that's not why I go there. Cruise on over for breakfast or lunch. Were open from 8:30 -2:30 Monday - Friday.People keep asking us to open on Saturday or Sunday. Just want to let everyone know that we are considering that suggestion and opening for one Saturday a month. Let us know what you think! Should we close Sunday and Monday and open every Saturday or would you be happy to visit us one Saturday out of the month?
