Saw you on Merchant Circle and I just wanted to give you a review to let you know how pleased I am with my lashes. Against my better judgement I went to an Asian nail spa & what a mess. No infomation either. I did not know they were not licensed to do lashes until you educated me. I also did not know my eyes were not suppose to burn & that I had choices! Thank you for helping me. Against my better judgement I went the the Asian Nail Spa and had a full set of lashes put on. I was not given any information & I did not know how bad it was at first. My husband noticed how crooked & clumped they were. I realize it was a lot of work for you to remove & put new ones on but it was worth it. Permanent Make-up is all the rage. Permanent make-up technicians are popping up all over the valley advertising $200 Specials and although this is appealing, one must remember the old adage, "You Get What You Pay For!" Sometimes I get a call from a client informing me that the nail spa down the street can do their permanent make-up for a lot less money than what we charge. I would like to address this issue. Currently, because of the import changes and the open trade agreements the United States has made with China, the Permanent Make-up industry has suffered along with the American manufacturers. We at Forever Young Aesthetics would like to point out to our customers, that we have always had your best interest and safety in mind. I can buy the same inks they use for only $5.00 a bottle, however, we choose to use only USA made pigments from American companies which cost 10x that amount. The Pigments and Inks imported from the Asian companies as well as other foreign companies cannot truly be verified as to what they contain or even if certain chemicals such as lead are low enough to be sold in the United States. If allergic reactions do occur you will have little to no recourse legally. American companies will provide material safety data sheets for you to view. Unfortunately, I have seen work from these "Permanent Make-up Mills" that would make "Frankenstein" look like "America's Next Top Model", and all of this could have been avoided if the client had done their homework. The number 1 complaint I see from the overseas inks is, what started out as a beautiful cocoa color, turned pink or the ash blonde color you chose to match your hair turned emerald green. Another common problem is that the arch is not in the right place or the brows do not match and even worse, the brow is not in the right place but 1 inch above or below proper placement. Each customer should realize there is no pigment approved for the purpose of tattooing in the United States. And, unfortunately, the Permanent Make-up industry is not regulated by the State Board of Cosmetology. Because of this, anyone can get on e-bay, purchase cheap equipment from overseas and start a permanent make-up mill with absolutely no training or knowledge of safety or proper practices. This is extremely upsetting to me. As a Licensed Para-medical Aesthetician, I have a deep knowledge of the skin and when I decided to start doing Permanent Makeup, I chose to learn as much as I could. I enrolled in the Scottsdale Academy of Micro-pigmentation and received my certification in Blood Bourne Pathogens. Sadly, I see botched permanent make-up jobs all the time and I had to become a correction specialist out of necessity. Often clients come for a consultation and then go back to the cheaper place and deeply regret it later. They always come back desperate for me to correct the work that was done. Although, I try my hardest to correct the problem, the damage has been done and I cannot guarantee someone else's work. My job is to educate the public and urge each and everyone of you considering permanent make-up to do your homework. Please do not assume the technician is licensed or Blood Bourne Pathogen Certified. Make sure they are willing to listen to what YOU want done, not what they think will look nice. Collagen Induction Therapy (Micro-Needling) Micro-needling creates tiny infiltration channels through the skins surface (the stratum corneum) that remain open for less than an hour with many benefits. It has been scientifically proven that the needles of a Derma-roller induce such a dramatic amount of collagen in a short session (20 to 30 minutes). We have scientific proof that the needling procedure triggers new collagen fibres, new melanozyts, stimulates re-vascularization, hair growth, evens out scars, re-pigments stretch marks, fills depressed acne scars, softens scars and so on. The Dry Needling or Micro-Needling procedure significantly stimulates your skins collagen to grow and repair, thus enhancing the appearance of stretch marks, acne pock marks, large pores, wrinkles as well as, enhancing the penetration of skin creams and serums. It is well known that only a small percentage of the active ingredients in skin creams penetrate the outer layer (epidermis) of the skin and reach the middle (dermal) layer where they are required to produce an effect. These needles are so fine and short that they only penetrate into the top layers of the skin. CIT can be performed on ALL areas of your body. Unlike ablative procedures, CIT can be performed repeatedly. Great for: Acne scars, Wrinkles, Stretch marks, Alopecia and Cellulite. (For Cellulite, the needles induce the bodies own collagen (CIT) in deeper skin layers to strengthen the connective tissue and to minimize the typical "orange-skin-appearance"). Rolling the cylinder on the skin surface creates even deeper micro-channels on the epidermis and dermis. At the same time, these longer needles will destroy scar collagen bundles, atrophic stretch marks or cellulites bundles (orange skin). Depending on your skin condition, and to achieve maximum possible results, we recommend an initial treatment of 3 to 4 treatments. As the new collagen formation needs time to mature, we propose an interval of 4-6 weeks before the next CIT is commenced. As your skin continues to age an annual refresher of CIT should be considered. Resurfacing the skin with Micro-needling is more effective and safer then laser surgery. It is also less expensive and does not cause permanent damage to the collagen, like lasers do.
