Shadowbrook Apartments

I had to get out of Shadowbrook Apartments because Jason is the worst landlord I've ever had. He allows people that don't live there to have parties every Saturday and most Sunday nights in the "gym" that has no equipment. You can be sure that if you work on weekends, like me, you won't get any sleep. You will just hear loud Mexican music until midnight and tons of people yelling in Spanish. He lets the lights on outdoor stairs go without fixing for months no matter how many times you ask. If you fix it yourself, he refuses to pay you back. He also lets the snow sit on the stairs all winter long. He doesn't answer his phone when you call for something. If he decides to respond at all, it takes at least 3-5 days. You should only prepare for a 3-5 day response if you have an emergency, like our A/C being out in 100* weather. If it's not an emergency, don't expect a response. There is no maintenance here. There was a fallen tree behind my apartment that had been there for months and probably is still there. The place is dirty. There is trash everywhere. The pool is a weird, green color and is never cleaned. There are 4 washers and 4 dryers for the entire complex, which I believe has 48 apartments. There are usually 1 or 2 washers and dryers that don't work without a sign that says they are out of order. The laundry room has old gum, dead bugs and dust all over. The worst part is that Jason lives here yet you rarely see him around....however, my friends see him out on week nights and weekends at local bars, hitting on them and trying to get away from him. It's sad because it really could be a beautiful place if there was a better landlord. ...read more
