I really like the store layout and the overall look of this store. Another plus is the variety of niche food products. Very nicely done. Now, here is what I have an issue with. If you charge a premium for your prepared salads and pre-made foods, why wouldn't you make the salads fresh that day? Tasted the tomato, cucumber and feta salad. Wow, soggy cucumbers and a taste that was pretty bland, like it sat around for a day or two. When asked the staff why isn't these salads fresh to the nth degree, especially since AJ's has all the fresh vegetables to begin with, I receive this "we make it according to demand" answer. Well if your charging $8.99 per pound for some tomatoes, cucumbers and only a little feta, I demand it be fresh!!! Ditto on the salad bar. Several items spilled into each other, some just empty.
