Desert Gardens at End of Season
Spring is here and our Snowbirds have flown away for the summer. The Gardens is very quiet this time of year. Some of us Desert Rats brave the summer heat and stay year round. Its a time to paint up, spruce up and get the Park ready for the new Fall Season. St Paddy's Day at the Garden
Starting 14 years ago, Sandy McAllister, Desert Gardens' manager has given the Gardens a St Paddy's Day corn beef and cabbage dinner. She cooks it and she serves it. It is the best corn beef and cabbage dinner in the world. Just ask any of the very many people who have eaten dinner with Sandy of the last 14 years This dinner was different. This year we said Good-Bye to Sandy. She is retiring and moving to Nevada to care for her Father. There was over 100 people at the dinner this year. All came to say goodbye to Sandy and wish her well. Soon we will have a new manager. But, always we will remember Sandy and her long tenure at the Gardens Good Bye Sandy...We will miss you...Come back to see us!!! ...read more
