Quartzsite is a town in La Paz County of Arizona. It is a popular winter tourist location for camping and other tourism activities. It is in the Sonoran Desert. Major facilities include the Arizona Highway Maintenance Yard - Quartzsite, La Posa Long-Term Visitor Area, Kofa National Wildlife Refuge, and Hi Jolly Monument. Quartzsite, The Rock Capital of the World, is a winter destination for RV snowbirds with over 11,000 acres of BLM boondock camping, 70+ RV Parks, music, entertainment, vendors, swapmeets, arts/craft shows, desert golfing, etc.. An ATV friendly town, Quartzsite boasts hundreds of miles of desert trails. Town Park is a great location for family fun, Disc Golf, Skateboarding, baseball, football, & activities. In January, the largest Rock show of its kind, the world famous Big Tent RV Show, Tyson Wells shows, Main Event & more! RV dealers, vendors at every corner. Quartzsite's friendly rural community of 3677 full time residents are supported by many full time businesses and year-round activities. Quartzsite is the Gathering Place! The biggest schools here are The Scholars Academy and Quartzsite Elementary School. One of the best places to visit when you are in Quartzsite is the Old Fort Tyson or Imperial National Wildlife Refuge.
