Here is one of my favorite spray tanning tips #1 Exfoliating. Every spray tan technician will always say exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate. This is the very first thing that you want to do before your appointment! I cannot stress how important this step is in order to getting the best spray tan results. Exfoliating your skin provides numerous amounts of benefits. The first benefit of exfoliating is it will get you the best spray tanning results. Some of the other great benefits include unclogging your skins' pores as well as cleaning it. Another great benefit of exfoliating the skin especially when done prior to shaving helps create a closer shave and prevents ingrown hairs. Exfoliating helps create the best spray by helping remove all the dead skin cells of your body. When the skin is properly prepped and exfoliated it creates a wonderfully smooth and even skin surface that allows the spray tanning solution to be have an even application. The removal of dry patches on skin is another great benefit of exfoliating. When there are dry patches of skin this can cause some unwanted issues when getting a spray tan. Dry patches can create an uneven application process which can cause the spray tanning solution to be more concentrated in those areas. Removing these dry patches of your skin with proper exfoliation will prevent excess solution being absorbed in these areas. When exfoliating is done correctly before your appointment it allows the spray tanning solution to be applied evenly. This helps create the perfect spray tan! Well!! In all practicality, you personally do practically nothing to obtain that tan in a tanning salon. But let us take you through the procedures so that you know you are headed towards an almost perfection in obtaining a fake tan throughout the year. We shall for the purpose, even by-pass the selection and negotiation criteria, presuming you already have the perfect deal at the right tanning salon that ideally suits your time and budget. Ensure that you have already filled-in the details on your skin-type, as that determines the quantum of UV Ray exposure. Know that even a minute extra in a booth or bed can make a huge difference. Ensure also that the staff is well informed of your current medication, if any. Some drugs can make a difference, a negative one. And if someone whispered to you about the huge advantage of any tyrosine-based tanning accelerators, just simply ignore it. If you wanted a quick tan so desperately, you would better-off painting one than taking an artificial enhancer to obtain an artificial tan. Simple. Now make sure you have a towel, and more importantly, a pair of UV Ray deflective goggles, before you step into a lie-in or a stand-in booth. At the tanning salon, decide whether you want a tan within a vertical stand-in tanning booth, or in a lie-down horizontal tanning bed. Know that in the lie-down position, you have the option of a low or high pressure UV Ray emission. The low pressure bed gives a faster tan, but is not recommended if your skin is sensitive, or you want your tan to be long-lasting. The high pressure bed has advantages, and therefore a higher cost. Most people prefer the stand-up booth as the UV Rays cover all areas symmetrically giving an ‘even' tan throughout the body. Besides it is more hygienic as there is less body contact. Depending on your choice of area for tan, you can wear, or rather, disrobe the garments accordingly. Many do prefer a tan in the buff, and the booth offers sufficient privacy. Let the staff inform you on how to operate the fan or the music, but the timer on the UV Ray machine are best left to their judgment, be it in a stand-in or lie-down booth. And do know that you have another option. You can avoid the UV Ray tan and opt for a whole body chemical spray. And if possible, do avoid a shower immediately after either tan. ...read more
