I remember when I was scammed by this company around 1999-2000. I was a teenager. I was overweight and insecure. It felt good to have people say I was beautiful and that I had a future as a model. I begged my parents for "professional" photos and they finally caved. After they got me to buy the photos (which were expensive) they started telling me I needed runway lessons. I went to the introductory course and the woman running it told all of us that we needed to sign up for the full runway walking classes so we could walk in their show. The price tag was $800. My parents said, "No." I think they knew what was going on but didn't tell me because I would have been crushed to know that I was being used. They called us back a few times but my parents wouldn't let me go back and meet with them. Any legitimate modeling agency will not ask you for money for anything. I've had nothing but bad experiences with Models Plus/Young Agency, both owned by the forgettable Pam Young. She claims to have been a plus size model-untrue. She modeled in a show ONCE. She only wants you to sign up for classes, she doesn't care about whether or not you become a model. She can't get you any gigs that you cannot get for yourself. She is all about appearances and YOUR money! She has complaints against her and she moves her offices around. She is a criminal in my opinion and I cannot wait to see her arrested for fraud and larceny on the news! She hits on most of the male models and she is sneaky, dishonest, jealous and selfish and anyone who gets on her bad side will be stabbed in the back, lied on and quite frankly she will create problems for them.
