i lived in moon valley but i had a MEDICAL situacion and was late on paying my rent but the manager made a deal with me to do some payments which i agree and sign some papers but i notice my rent never went down it kept going up but i guess my mistake was trusting them and giving my money order and having the manager fill it in for me .i had my copies and when they told me i was going to loose my home and go to court all of a sudden my trailer was broken into and all my proof was gone .moon valley had its up and down but i minded my own bussiness and stood in my house so beside that i didnt have no problem. ...read more

Just to clear the air...... #1 Ken and Donna are not the managers any longer they are now over all 5 or 6 parks the company owns in several states. They constantly have to travel and deal with all these issues at all these properties.( Lot Rent not on time, grown adults who don't have enough snap to realize their yard is a troll's den, people letting there kids run wild and tear up vacant homes, and employees not doing their job when they have to be away ect..... ) You are so quick to criticize try walking in their shoes. I have lived here many years and they were the managers from 2006 until they were moved up a couple years ago. They were and are the best thing to happen to this park. All you cry babies who have lived here less than 5years have no Idea the improvements these two have made or the long hours and hard work they put in. If you put 1/10th the effort into your house and yard these kids put into this park it would beautiful . ...read more

Where there are numerous businesses out there selling new manufactured homes, Calypso is one of a precious few in the Valley that specializes in repossessions. “For a variety of reasons the homes are placed back on the market,” says thenative. “Our staff simply makes them available to people in need of a home.” The benefits? Incredible savings for one. Oftentimes the bank’s main focus is getting the outstanding balance from the original note. This can be substantially lower than the estimated value of the home, which translates in sales prices much lower than one can find with a new home. In fact, some home-buyers end up paying less than half the retail price for a home built just a few years ago. Of course, financial opportunities such as this tend to draw another group as well – investors. According to Ms. Ehmann, as much as 40% of Calypso’s business comes from those looking to capitalize on the market. These enterprising individuals buy houses at the lower cost and then turn them for a profit. Some make improvements to the units, others move them to land they own before selling to drive the price up even more. And of course, some buy them to use as rental properties. Independent appraisal studies confirm that manufactured homes can appreciate in value the same as other forms of housing, further increasing the appeal.
