Just to clear the air...... #1 Ken and Donna are not the managers any longer they are now over all 5 or 6 parks the company owns in several states. They constantly have to travel and deal with all these issues at all these properties.( Lot Rent not on time, grown adults who don't have enough snap to realize their yard is a troll's den, people letting there kids run wild and tear up vacant homes, and employees not doing their job when they have to be away ect..... ) You are so quick to criticize try walking in their shoes. I have lived here many years and they were the managers from 2006 until they were moved up a couple years ago. They were and are the best thing to happen to this park. All you cry babies who have lived here less than 5years have no Idea the improvements these two have made or the long hours and hard work they put in. If you put 1/10th the effort into your house and yard these kids put into this park it would beautiful . ...read more

The current managers are much to busy delivering notices about the weeds that grew last night, and screaming at the kids enjoying their first day in the pool. Making sure everyone in the pool area understood that SHE IS CHARGE AROUND HERE AND IF RESIDENTS DONT WANT TO OBEY THE RULES, THEN THE POOL WILL JUST STAY CLOSED ALL SUMMER. The rule Everyone (all 14) broke was "the beach ball (everyone was having a great time with) is not allowed in the pool area!!! ABSOLUTELY no toys are allowed in the pool area! She's a nut case. ...read more

Bonaventure's reputation includes, Four to six REPORTED robberies every month Day and night police activity, Theft, fights, blasting music till 3 and 4 in the morning, drugs bought sold and used, illegal residents, trashed vacant units, loitering, drinking, partying, speeding vehicles and Dogs and cats crapping everywhere, you can try your luck with asking the manager to do anything but just a heads up. "That's Not the managers responsibility"! And the water from the sprinklers, that everyday for over six months now, floods the property, runs all the way out to 7th street, is a health hazard to the residents with breeding misquitos and costs the owner (and the residents) thousand of dollars, IS ALSO, NOT HER PROBLEM!! ...read more

The Managers here at Bonaventure are a very sad JOKE!!! In one years time they have destroyed many years of hard work that previous managers invested to make Bonaventure "what it used to be"!!! Managers get up in the middle of the night to tell someone to turn their music down!!!! That's a joke, right! Do you still live here??!!! I'd bet my mobile home that the managers know nothing about the mobile home that was surrounded with six police cars and a police van this week, or about the fight that took place in the parking lot two nights ago. Call the manager right now and ask her to deal with the three drunk guys (one a resident) that are having a great time breaking beer bottles. . I Dare You!! ...read more

I live next door to this complex and can tell you first hand the noise coming from their tenants is outrageous. I am not sure how people can live over there without earplugs. But more importantly I have called the listed number for the Michigan Mobile Home Park and for months now I have never gotten someone to answer the phone. I have on occasion had someone pick up the phone but then just immedialty hang back up and the line goes to busy signal for hours after. Does anyone have any information on the owners/lessors of this premises? -PS I have also personally seen the cats that the other reviewer mentions. One was thrown in front of my doorway and he was literally split in half. I agree with everything the review says below. ...read more

This is a really good park and Ken & Donna work after hours and weekends and do whay is needed to insure a good operating community. I have never seen them decorate before the date allowed and I have never seen them think they are better than the residents. Sounds like someone got written up for violations and want to blame the managers because of thier not compling with park rules. ...read more

By Scared and frieghtened off what is happening

I live next to this park and the upkeep is deplorable. The homes are disgusting and the people who live there are violent and diplorable. They spray paint Mexican Brown Pride MBP gang signs all over the place and I have found cut up dead cat carcasses on the walkways surrounding the area. Best to stay far away from this place unless you prefer your music loud and thundering, thugs with guns, and animal killing heathens. ...read more

AN INVESTOR’S BEST-KEPT SECRET

Manufactured housing is huge in. Could it be huge for you?   These are good times for the staff at Calypso Homes, Inc. – a Phoenix-based seller of manufactured homes. For a variety of reasons this alternative to traditional, or site-built, homes has enjoyed sustained popularity in.   Gone are the days when manufactured housing simply meant trailers. Today’s manufactured homes come in a wide variety of styles and sizes and offer the quality, features, amenities and return on investment that put them on par with traditional homes.   According to the MHI – the Manufactured Housing Institute (www.manufacturedhousing.org), the average per-square-foot cost of manufactured housing ranges from 10 to 35 percent less than site-built homes, depending on the geographic region. A greater emphasis has been placed on the quality of the product recently as well. In fact, building materials in today’s manufactured homes are often the same as used with their traditional contemporaries. Combine this with a manufactured home’s ability to be customized to meet a family’s particular lifestyle and it’s easy to see why these homes are so popular in the.    This is all excellent news for Lynn Ehmann, Owner and President of Calypso Homes. “I fell into the business by luck,” she says. “But when I saw the potential I knew it was something worth pursuing.”   In business for less than four years, Ehmann says she’s sold roughly 85 manufactured homes of all shapes and sizes. Even with the recent real estate slow down, interest in her business has remained steady. “There’s always a need for affordable housing,” she adds.   Calypso Homes isn’t your average manufactured home dealer however. Where there are numerous businesses out there selling new manufactured homes, Calypso is one of a precious few in the Valley that specializes in repossessions. “For a variety of reasons the homes are placed back on the market,” says thenative. “Our staff simply makes them available to people in need of a home.”   The benefits? Incredible savings for one. Oftentimes the bank’s main focus is getting the outstanding balance from the original note. This can be substantially lower than the estimated value of the home, which translates in sales prices much lower than one can find with a new home. In fact, some home-buyers end up paying less than half the retail price for a home built just a few years ago.   Of course, financial opportunities such as this tend to draw another group as well – investors. According to Ms. Ehmann, as much as 40% of Calypso’s business comes from those looking to capitalize on the market. These enterprising individuals buy houses at the lower cost and then turn them for a profit. Some make improvements to the units, others move them to land they own before selling to drive the price up even more. And of course, some buy them to use as rental properties.   Independent appraisal studies confirm that manufactured homes can appreciate in value the same as other forms of housing, further increasing the appeal.    This is all fine with Ms. Ehmann and the staff at Calypso. “The customer pays less for a quality home, the banks get the money owed to them, and there’s a little left over for us,” she says with a smile. “It’s truly a win-win-win situation.”   is a member of the Arizona Business Women’s Association and sponsor of the pastRound Up held in Her business – Calypso Homes, Inc. is located atin. 602-716-5888.   By ~ Robert Palmer ...read more
