Dr. Sloten was awesome. The office was very pleasant. I called and spoke with the scheduler that was very sympathetic to my work schedule and I was seen early in the morning that same week. I had been seen by three different doctors at my primary care office and they didn't have a clue what was wrong. Dr Sloten knew what my skin condition was immediately. I was able to fill my prescriptions there at the office. I was very happy with my treatment but leaving with the medications I needed made it even better. As the cure for breast cancer continues, what are we doing to assist our survivors today. Most women are under the impression that after the breast reconstruction surgery is completed, they are done. This is not correct. The true completion of breast reconstruction for breast cancer should end with areola/nipple clinical tattooing. This should be offered in the physician's office as part of the clincal follow up procedure. Most medical offices do not offer this service even though it is covered by the patient's insurance. We are all aware of breast cancer and the movement to find the cure. I feel that women should be able to look at themselves in the mirror and feel that they have regained their femininity. Giving back to the community by offering breast areola tattooing is a rewarding and much needed service. If you are a skin care professional, nurese, or work with plastic reconstructive surgeons, then you should consider training in the art of breast areola restoration.
